looks a nice healthy pup that vin. atb with her, looking forward to seeing her in the flesh. get the pup out with you when your out ferreting mate should soon learn the game.
i use a 14amp lithium with a lance lamp and a 30 watt bulb had 50 rabbits the other night and only used 1 LED on the battery. good piece of kit, wouldnt use any other type of battery again.
nice one Matt decent enough bag that. i know what you mean about the fields being hard work. there was small streams running down some of the fields i was on.
thanks andy. i was hoping you would have joined me and Tomo the other night so i could see one of your dogs with me own eyes. every rabbit i caught lastnight you could literally wring the water off them. i am happy with that to be honest couldnt ask for any more from my young dog buster.
a quick pic of lastnights catch. couldnt be arsed to get the rabbits out the motor and get the dogs to pose for a pic, so its a back of the motor photo again.
cosidering there is a large chunk of the moon up conditions were looking good tonight with the rain and wind i decided to go out for a quick lamp. i took the old dog and young buster who i didnt really expect much from after hed bagged me 50 bunnies thursday night.
after the first 10 minutes of lamping i was wet through from the heavy rain i dropped on a little spot which is made up of 3 paddocks totaling no more than about 15 acres. the old dog got off to a flying start catching 4 out of the first 5. buster had caught the one whilst on the lead which meant i had actually got 5 out of 5.
there will be mate. rabbits like to be out in the rain, you will find most of your best nights will come from drizzle along with some wind ideal conditions.
it could put gear in the bag yes but could also put you in the cells lol
I think the law are more likely to spot the million candle light being blasted around the countryside than they are to hear a daft yap
what brings the law out in the first place \\\\keepers woke by yappy dogs lol
just stay a couple of fields away from the keepers house then. late on in the winter its cold and most people have there windows shut anyway. ive been out with yappers and never had any problems with them waking any body up. aslong as its catching plenty it shouldnt really matter imo.
i popped into see my rabbit buyer on the way back aswell and my total trip was 517.8 miles on the trip computer. i am fecking knackered and theres no fecker in to make me a cup of tea lol.
thanks for the invite Tomo it was nice to put young buster in that situation to see how he handled it. i would of carried on lamping until it got light lol.
heres buster with his first 50 on the lamp at 20 and a half months old
