  1. ive had a bedlington 12 years nose work fantastic only a ferreting/ratting dog. Temperament bombproof very easy to live with.

  5. Good write up BL the only dog ive owned that rarely had a sick day off was a 1/2 cross beardy/grey in the 80s. Come into to his own on fell land broken moorland very good hunt up dog.Caught more than his fair share and plenty of hunted up hares not slipped on one.No excuses that was not his game.

  8. By chance as a kid coming home at dusk from a fishing trip i spotted a dog coursing a hare on local farm land. i was aged about 12 so 1976. First time in company a old fella let me tag along 1983 he had a first cross saluki /greyhound went out every sunday morning from then on.

  10. ive not seen any bedlington/grey first crosses look like they could pull a cart ;lol.
  11. ive seen a lot of variation size and build wise in first crosses. i know old hancocker comes in for some stick but ive seen a few bitches a long time ago out of the stud rufus that were crackers and had a real good racy build and ive seen the flip side and some first cross that wouldnt be out of place pulling a cart.

  15. I had them both LM when they first come out and gave them away to a old friend around 2003. He didnt leave me them in his will lol.

  18. ive seen first cross collie/greyhounds as small as 22 tts go up to 27tts

The best first cross i have seen and ive watched a fair few was from a kc dog. in the early 80s a local fella took a greyhound bitch to be lined by one of john piggins dogs(eakring) the best mooching knockabout lurcher i have clapped eyes on to date.ive a good idea who the fella is who has the bedlington that is the sire to yours he has been with bedlingtons for the long haul while many fell by the wayside.
  20. ive had a lurcher beardy/grey live 17 years also a collie and a russell i had lived to the same age.
