  1. Faint heart never brimmed a pig and a standing cock seldom had a conscience.
  2. Ive lost count of the amount of times a sapling as done something in the field that it was never introduced to,yet, that its parents and grand-parents did.Its uncanny at times when a sapling instinctively does something its never been taught but its breeding did.
  3. She fiddled her expenses, then played the Black card, she fiddled housing, then played the black card, she shagged Corbyn in their lefty youth and later became one of his most trusted politicians. She,s not done bad for a fat ugly fecker with little talent, apart from shagging a twat who cannot play the race card to save his,or her career.
  4. Source a mutt bred with a lineage of dealing with the opportunities the breeding encounters swings the balance in the owners favour, two hunters sourcing mutts from kennels at the opposite end of the spectrum will often have a different appreciation of their charges capabilities, most of the time.
  5. Ive mixed with a few Micks, ive even 4 sons that regard themselves as Irish and i could not be prouder of my Irish links, the truth is the Irish misbehave as well as the best, they possibly do it with better humour.
  6. Around my vicinity it gets hammered by Myxi nearly every season, the black and coloured rabbits fared far better than normals, ive no idea why that came about and it may be just coincidental, yet they certainly seemed to stay healthier and any caught also seemed to be in better condition than the normals, much of the time.
  7. Id not condone such practice, yet id not pick up the first or thirtieth stone to chuck,we all have our own unique ways of training and introducing a mutt to the field and if honesty ever raised its head many of us have some unsavoury hunting habits and training methods.Im more upset that another hunting kennel as had its trust ruined by another sneaky fecking infiltrator, how many kennels now will be looking at their staff and acquaintances with suspicion. If you cannot trust the person working alongside you thats far more abhorrent than the unsavoury demise of a cub, even cubs should be hunted an
  8. Breeding is the most important part of the equation in the production of a working mutt.At times a good-un will surface from a litter of dross,Hancock is proof of that, yet there is far more litter wastage from pups with little working pedigree, than from pups bred from far more honest stock.Hybrid vigour often makes a mockery of many a thoughtless litter.Id be reluctant to put the time and effort into a pup bred with a luck factor.
  9. Im an idiot and a mate in the same sentence,im pleased to have another mate,i need them.Yet do i need another mate that requires more education than what i put on a leash?.
  10. One of the better jumping pics ive seen on here, front and back feet tucked up.
  11. A good mate of mine paid £750 for his Deerhound, the do,s and dont,s he had to agree to before he was allowed it.Ive been out and about with the dog and watched it run,he paid £750 to much for the dog.
  12. The majority of jumping, especially at pace,is often done out of sight or command range. Well we have no control over that do we.....what we can have control over, however, is when the lurcher is within hearing distance....Fuji knows what I mean as he's seen it... and believe me, when you're hunting far, far from home and you've a long boat ride back to base you do not want your lurchers guts spilling out onto the field..... But it's JMHO............ So you stop it by hollering commands at a jukel in full flight and a league away ,ill have to master that technique the week after i
  13. I know loads of them through local sport here, all drive new/newish vans, cars, all blinged out wit gold rings, chains, not one of these fu@ckers ever worked a day in there lives, able to carry wads of cash, maybe not all thieves but vast majority get there money illegally. jelousy a very bad thing you say they never worked well they do work obviously where else would they get there money ?????????????????????? Geez some mothers did have them.

  15. Fecking mongrels are better fed than me,do you take in lodgers?.
  16. Daughter turned up with a card, complained she was hungry so i took her for a breakfast, she then asked for a lift home and tapped me for £20.

  18. Not all,its easier to find a thief than a priest on any camp.
  19. Im relentless in getting a sapling to learn the art of jumping,at pace and without losing stride, its a monotonous process of jump after jump after jump,on various obstacles, wall, gates, hedges and fences. The biggest problem i find is that people learn their mutts to jump well yet let them use the top of the obstacle to push off from, thats when accidents arise, they learn to push off from a wall or the top rail of a gate, which are fixed and sturdy, then they attempt to do the same on wire, the wire gives way to their weight and many a mutt can become entangled.I tap the top of the obstacle,im learni
  20. There are an awful lot of folk ratching about with terriers that have lost less dogs than Spaniel owners, the only reason a dog behaves around stock is because its been educated to do so,terrier or spaniel Einstein.I regard a Spaniel,as a bushing companion, very highly, ive a better regard for a terrier that will bush as well and then get the job done below, with a spaniel you lose what drops to ground.
  21. Ive put 1 Bedlington dog in a pet home because in 2 years i could not control its hunting behaviour,if it scented quarry that did not range far, rodents,it was never a problem, the scent of bambi or fox and the mutt was often lost,2 days once.Ive never had the problem with many, many others.A busher needs far more education and training than any terrier worked solely from a leash, the main reason for a deaf terrier is a lack of stewardship and early education.Bedlingtons are far less prone to ignore command than say a Lakey, ive often had a far harder time attempting to educate a Lakey,Bedlingtons
  22. Wrong, the only terrier purposely bred as an all rounder was the plummer, look at the breeds in its make up, as for your retrieving question well all dogs can be taught to retrieve, starts with any soft toy in the garden as a pup and developed from there, I bought a good friend of mine a patterdale off a hard well known digging dog in Liverpool, my mate used to be the secretary of a working gun dog club and although a bit hard mouthed loved a day shooting/retrieving, a bit of brain and patience on both sides will do it, a good Plummer works anything you care to teach it,very intelligent and thr
  23. Totally disagree socks, the majority of graft all my terriers encounter is thrashing about on top,if and when they have the need,or urge to enter below i expect them to graft below as a working terrier should, with the same commitment they put in above.I don,t own digging terriers that are about in digging kennels, they are a far different terrier now,on the whole, yet i own terriers that are dug to,when its needed and bolt the majority of the time.Do i class them as an allrounder?,i prefer the term versatile.Id not venture into the fields without the means and savvy to manage the days hunt, regard
