  1. Good dogs, but get something from stock you know is working, German import, or close, if you can, but the working bit is the most important, I used mine for stalking and she could be controlled, until you set her off, then she came into her own, fearless little dogs with bit hearts, don’t let the looks deceive you,
  2. Never seen that last one before, interesting indeed
  3. My new lab he’s settleing in nice, getting in well with the others
  4. Well I have gone and sourced myself a new lab, been a while since I bought one for myself, a good big dog, one I will put ont blood scenting as a stalking companion, and general retrieving, hes settlng well 15 month old, the mrs asked today am I going to have him hip scored, something I hadn’t thought about, his parents have good hip scores, so thought, go on I will price it jeesus first price £300 second £270, what kind of money does everyone else pay, or is that the going rate does anyone know,
  5. Take them back mate that shouldn’t be happening, any loss of accuracy ???
  6. I have never had that with the hornet either, what are they 35-40 grn ???
  7. Tried that mate, no sign yet, he’s probably busy though,
  8. Anybody know when he will have more stock, he’s sold out and I can’t get a reply as to when they will be in
  9. Yes you should have been given a temporary licence, usually they give you it quiet quickly,
  10. Really good to see Blaise Thankyou,
  11. If you go to the clay ground them lads will help, most will let you try different guns, or even there own, once they get to know you, they will be people there, with the same eye dominance issues, who can advise you, they will at least guide you wisely when spending your cash, they may even know someone selling a gun, that might do for you, try before buy sort of thing, you really can’t go wrong, by far the best way to go forward, don’t go too cheap as there will be no re-sale value, too many people rush in,
  12. Sorry I thought BASC did, however BDS do, classsed as pest control, I rang them to confirm it,
  13. If you are only doing it in a small way as in up to £2,000 earnings you are covered by BASC / BDS it’s when you go over that as most do,
  14. A good dinner there, it’s good to see a few rabbits about this yr,
  15. I know what you are saying and in most cases you are right, but nothing in my opinion will go through a thick nest like a B.B. you can see it come through the top, and to be honest it’s never really failed me, as for foxes I have shot the out of high seats before with BB’s, and they don’t move generally , just drop, I know what underdog is saying, I have shot a fair few with number4’s, and there are a number of cartridges that will do the job, but I do prefer to stick more toward what I have tried and tested over the yrs, I think the one thing the 12 has over them both is cartridge choice, alt
  16. Can I ask what that sight is, rimfire boy, and how do you find using one on a shotgun, I found mine strange at first,
  17. Yes I agree they will, but BB’s are very good, when shooting through Squirel drays, especially when they in the bottom of old magpie nests, they are a very handy shell, I don’t use many, but when I do they do the job,
  18. Well I have just got hold of a 20 gauge silenced Mossberg, and I like it, last wk I sat in a hedge, three crows came across the field I killed the first, missed the second, and killed the third, the birds didn’t deactivate they kept coming, they are good guns, I use 28 grn no 5’s high pheasant, and along side the hushpower cartridge’s I cant tell the difference, learning to shoot with the silencer on took a bit of getting used to, so I put a red dot sight on it, for no money really and bingo, I am starting to get some results from it, I did think about the 12 bore, but found it he
  19. And that to me is the only drawback with them, just like the nomol trap,
