  1. That’s if I am right, it has ZC prefix on number, but it doesn’t have the raised scope rail, so can’t be a challenger,
  2. Not sure on model, I will check later, it’s a 22 I bought it from a forum member, as that’s what I used as a lad, that and the meteors, but I for some reason changed, and went more into shotguns/ firearms and traded mine years ago, this last couple of yrs I have used it on quiet a bit on rat, and I want something for branches,
  3. I am out in morning, very patchy here hoping for a covering, terrier keen to go,
  4. That looks good what are they like weight wise,
  5. Cheers I will have a look at them, the only thing I am cautious of is getting something that’s too heavy,
  6. Hi lads I am looking at buying a precharge airgun, this summer sometime, I am thinking of buying a second hand BSA hornet or similar, for rat and pigeon in buildings, I have been around shotguns and firearms, most my life, so I have no issues with using one, airguns however is a different story, I have no experience at all with precharged, dispite always having a springer, the question really is what kind of money are they second hand, are they worth having, I don’t need stupid ranges, just something quiet and accurate, reliable, something I can put my photon night vision on, I have a good BSA
  7. When that photo was taken, he couldn’t get to a rabbit, it ducked under a load of rubbish, he wouldn’t leave it,he had run it for quiet a distance and it out turned him, he was on new ground, he got it in the end, but he really marks well, fur or feather,
  8. It’s half the fun when they mark, it’s marvellous to watch,
  9. Look good Ian what do they cost, probably need to be sitting down to hear it though,
  10. Brilliant caliber, Matt which gun is that I have the manlicher, 6.5 x55 I have used 6.5 for around 15 yr, and started fancying a update, gun that is not caliber
  11. Proper character definatley, I am sure he was married when I met him, he signed me a book, I went to buy a spaniel, he had trained and turned it down, but he was a gent about it, it didn’t tick the boxes
  12. I met guy Wallace back in the 90’s when he lived on the breakon beacons, decent bloke, knew his stuff,
  13. Have a dummy run Tyla, give the girl ago, you might be surprised
  14. Get around the bottom with a spade, and use the turf to make a small wind break, with a level bottom, if water seeps up try a close boarded pallet in the bottom, to get him off the damp ground, he must be a steady quiet to let them get that close, my lurcher will stalk our great for deer, and will not break on them, but he is unreliable, if we come across squirels/ rabbits, he’s 6/7 now and is steadying down all the time, there’s nothing wrong with lurchers they are very good all rounders, but it does depend on how they are brought on, like anything else,
  15. She makes you happy mate, she tries for you and that is worth a fortune, your a wealthy man for that, there’s a lot of people would give there right hand for that, I have just come back tonight with a mate who wants his big lab to stalk, I took him in one of my woods, I followed behind, and watched and gave guidance, it was a pleasure to watch, the dogs first stalk, he’s going to be a lucky bloke the dog has real potential, nothing shot but out again in morning,
  16. What’s she like when you are in a high seat have you tried her? If so how did she do??
  17. Nice looking dog Tyla, a dog I always wanted to try was a Airedale terrier, it nearly happened a couple of year ago, but alas not to be,
  18. This again is topical, I like them half a body length, so I can glance down without moving my head too obviously, it’s just a case of tipping my eyes down and left, that’s great for a pointer, / dog that will indicate, some will just plod behind, there still good dogs, but there’s two types, some pro-active, some re-active, I would think yours is more pro-active, there the most exciting dogs, sorry I was slow to reply, just getting used to the site changes even now, I am a technophobe,
  19. If you look at the tape measure, it’s about 12 inch long, then he’s counting the tail, nowt abnormal there, it’s just a big rat, I have had them 12 inch, from nose to start of tail, back in the 80’s,
  20. Looks like someone is trying to sell, winter tyres again,
  21. One I had fitted to my old Diatsu the water came down the inside of the T bar and screwed the switch up, I tried the suction cup one one the clulight, the system seems good, the similar light force one looks worth a try, don’t think I would drill the roof again, personal preference though.
  22. i agree about temp consistency but how do you lads achieve it, I have a brew heater, it’s similar to a fish tank heater,I am up on the borders, and the temp is up and down like a brides knighty, also how do think barometric pressure affects it, or even if you agree it does,
  23. I only ask as I say Hugh fearnly doing some on river cottage, and they seemed to just pour it into a wood barrel and seal it, I often wondered why it didn’t blow,
