  3. I never use markers where members of the public have access to the land. Indentations on mole hills, strands of wool, white spray paint; anything that'll point me to the spot but won't catch the eye of a footpather. Thats sensible, enough..but i personally never use any type, of evident marker,...Thats ok till you end up with a field full of mole hills, then the old timers desease kicks in, but if there’s only a couple of lines of hills then no issues, easy to relocate them,

  5. have you seen the ones made from drinking fountain water bottles they look handy, I was given a carboy (25litre ?) but I never got round to using it.....not hard to acquire though. If you're gonna go, go big ! I think she’s buying me a fruit press and I have access to loads of apples too late this year now, so will have to dig through some old posts, for next yr anybody know anything about useing Sankey barrels/ kegs as I am thinking of useing a couple of them

  7. I think with these being bolt/fasten on, you should be able to fit it further down the neck, making for a tighter seal at the mouth / bottle opening, and of course you will be able to swap them from bottle to bottle, should you need to although unlikely you will ever need to,

  9. the coopers irish stout it really nice if made with spraymalt instead of sugar.yes its spot on I have done this with brewing sugar instead of normal white sugar its very tasty, I bottled there stout, and kegged a bitter, am going to get some in for Xmas, trying to get some flip top bottles Aldi are doing a beer festival....loads of beers in flip top bottles.... buying em full of beer works out a few quid more expensive than buying em empty!!!!   13. I like beer brewing and have got back into it over the last two year, I did my first in a corney keg, and just finished that, it’s good to do, I liked the dry recipes years ago but struggle to get the ingredients now, so been doing Coopers kits, and they have been good,

  15. j have never tried the bethel Rhodes traps, what are they like, I love the flat pack stainless traps, very good in this acidic soil up here, last for ages,

Had a few round here Born with the fence stakes , one of the worst was a fair sized buck completely wrapped in electric fencing with three posts tangled in amongst it and with the electric still on , fcuk did I jump when I touched it , completely exhausted but still alive he must have got tangled in the night and I got a call about seven in the morning when the owners went to check the horses ...the electric fencing when there cleaning velvet is a menace ..had another caught by the antlers with about 60 metres to run free on before it jerked him to a halt , that was a bit hairy getting close e

  21. try stitching together two leather greyhound leads, or get long line for schooling horses, fasten it to its collar and lay it out behind the dog as it walks, at heel if the dog slips past or goes too far in front just step onto the line, to stop it as long as it’s not flying it will pull up / stop, she should look back at you, reward that eye contact, but only if the dogs calm, hand up when you are sure she will remain halted, close the gap and praise her, walk ahead again at a slow pace, she should hold maintain the gap between you, do this a few times faster then slowing down, and the dog wi
