  1. I think you will find they are members of the public!
  2. Great. Have a look at some of the other clips on this site as well. Awsome.
  3. If young H went down, hope he had a good time. Thats if SV hadn't cleared them all out first!
  4. Proactively get evidence of your use of rifle, evidence witnesses who can verify where and when, and that you have an exemplary understanding of range, ricochet, and backstop, and you shouldn't,t have a problem after 6 months. What goes in favour of the licensing officer,is the usual request with no evidence!
  5. I boil mine and then leave outside for a few days and then put them out, I never rub them in anything or do anything else to them. What you have to remember, is that anything that smells different, or is out of place, to a rabbit or fox, will draw its attention, if it isnt running into it. Totally neutral scent would be the ideal. I liken it to go out for a walk and smelling something unusual. I personally often stop, and try and work out what it is. Hope this helps.
  6. It might seem daft this, but have you got a selection open somewhere else on the picture? If you have deselect the usual way Ctrl D. I'm not aware of anything else.
  7. Great footage lads, love the way you can see the pellet in mid air all the way to the bunny.
  8. Go new CZ, then you know the history. If you do go down the secondhand route, try before you buy, and if you are not confident yourself, take someone who is.
  9. I've had one for a few years now and they are good, although I only seem to use mine in the summer, when out with the fly rod for the day in some remote loch. The first one I bought I had to send back, because everytime I boiled it, I had very small amounts of silvery bits floating on my cuppa each time I made it, and no matter how many times I boiled it, it never stopped. Anyway the replacement never had any problems, and like most blokes messing around with fire to make a brew is just fun!
  10. No personal experience, but I was out with the hounds at the weekend and one of the lads turned up in the monsoon 11 jacket in a really nice olive green. It looked great and was cheap for a waterproof, I think he said £130. It looked a good long length smock, ideal for wildfowling or lying out with rifle.
  11. Can local gun shop not order it in?
  12. Nice country, is that close to Shropshire/Hereford border, it looks very similar? Its great when the farmer doesnt just let you on, but is helpful at the same time, its nice to see.
  13. Part way through watching this weeks programme on squaddies in afghan... Massive respect to those boys who get turned into men in seconds. 100% behind you all, and may you all return home safely.
  14. I had a similar thing a few weeks ago but without the biting. This Jill was working a big warren, and when she came out of one of the holes, I picked her up to move her to another. She screamed this horrendous sound as if she was in pain, so much so that I instinctively let her go. I wondered if she had an illness, or was in pain, but I have since examined her and she appears fine. I can only think it was a protest at havin been picked up, but I am really not sure. She never did it again that day, or, since.
  15. What a good days sport, and nice looking dogs.
  16. 168 pellets of no 12 sized shot. Ok for small rodent at up to 10 m. As a kid I used to shoot sparrows with them in the barns, but again at close distance. I believe butterfly collectors used to use them, for when they were out of reach of the nets. Wasps are also good fun, as they leave or come back to the nest!
  17. Correct, and the issue comes when you injury one, through incorrect shot size, and it does a runner. This might seem pedantic, but pattern SG and then pattern AAA, and I know which I would use. I am guessing these roe are not getting shot at 10 metres. On a forum like this it doesn't help our cause, discussing something which clearly breaches the deer act. If your going to do it, just do it.
  18. Wish This was my photo. Excellent!
  19. Bet the licencing officer wasn't aware. Not bothered myself but dont know who else watches this site.
  20. OK'd by who, as this is nothing to do with licensing, and the law still says AAA, unless dispatching an injured animal. Certainly in England and Wales anyway.
  21. Mate, I might be wrong but if you intend to use a shotgun on deer, then strictly speaking you should be using AAA, or slug of some description. From what you have said, the above fits the legal requirements to use a shotgun, but SG doesn't fit the bill in the eyes of the law, if you wish to remain legal. I am guessing that there is some humane reason for this as well, which is probably the fact that there just isnt enough pellets in any SG cartridge to gaurantee a clean kill.
  22. you should change your user name to patdatwat. ACE!!
