  13. Don't know the record but I'd say 4oz would be a beast... Record was 4oz for years don't know what it is now, last time I checked was Anglers Mail annual 1978 I've a little claim to fame with the anglers mail mate, 20 years ago I done a centre page article for them.. Front cover was a pic of me silhouetted out with the caption " don your waders with our agent"... They used to do a feature each week on different venues called, mail mission, they'd set an angler a target on a water and then do an account as a time line with photos.. I had to catch 10lb of fish in 4 hrs on the tidal Exe, I'd
  14. Nice bag there mate, bread punch and stick, lovely... Lol It's either tench on the canal or a crack at the bass this weekend

  16. Cheers Dave, my eldest is the same, got to protect her nails now lol.. I got a feeling my little girl might stay in the country pursuits though, she's different to the other 2, When I was cleaning the shed out last week she spent the whole day cuddling a ferret, that went to sleep in her arms, her and a ferret on a deck chair in the garden.... Lol I've never lost the bug and been going since I was 6 so hopefully it's the same for them...
  17. Cheer mate, he loves his fishing, I don't get a peaceful day anymore lol
  18. I've told you he'll give you a teach in on the river lol
  19. Cheers all, I agree Chris, it's probably my favourite method, be caught some cracking fish over the years running a stick through, he's just getting the hang of running it through, holding it back etc, the under arm cast is coming but needs some practice.. Don't I know it Ant, he tells everyone we meet about the mullet lol, we'll be back on them in June, good sport on light gear up the river. Well I've heard of a few decent bass coming off a brag 10 miles or so away, last week, so we'll have to get down there...

Finally roofing again, we're on catch up now, so hopefully it's dry for 9 months lol
  21. Missus had an MRI last week, she wasnt over keen lol No chance for me, the claustrophobia would kick in and they'd have to drag me out I reckon,
  22. Come up here in June when the river opens Bry, we'll have a day or 2 on the Exe, maybe a day on the tidal or further up into Exeter, there's a couple of decent stretches on the club ticket. If you fancy a day up Taunton way, I've had some good days on the Tone, I'll PM you my number,
  23. With the end if the river season almost upon us, I took fin onto the river culm to try and get him his first chub, and hopefully a few roach.. He's getting the hang of running a stick float through now, but these are tricky swims, most are like a bird cage with the trees, but the boy done good and landed a few fish.. Including a couple of chub and his first brownie, that impressed fin with its air display... Lol
