Not targeted them for year Hot Meat, Been reading a lot in the angling press recently about fishing for big perch, I fancy a crack at them, I'm used to lugging a load of match gear down the canal/river might go with a little less gear worms and a few spinners and see how it goes. Have you had many decent ones mate?

I started off fishing for perch on the local canal, pretty much sea gear and worms, eventually it progressed to bream, tench etc..... But I still have a soft spot for perch, I heard the odd decent one was coming out of a local still water, it's mainly fished for carp, only a small place but holds some decent roach too... I took the kids for a few hours and set up a waggler rod had a plumb around and found a deeper hole a out 7m out, also fed a line beside some rushes.. Fed caster and fished single maggot over the top ( had no worm), we caught a few roach to around 12oz, in the deeper spo

Always the same Kev! You sit there for hours and totally blank, get pissed off and on your last cast you get a knock or land something! :laugh: It's the fishermans curse lol.. Cheers lads, It is nice down here Tomo, bit of everything, keeps us amused any way... Ain't it always the way, I had to be away at 1-30 to get back for the kids, had the bass, a little codling and missed another bite all in the last 3/4 hour, why does it always start when you've got to leave lol

It's hard to say wilf, it's such a special case. Not many mangers stay at a club for 23 years. A lot of water under the bridge to forget. I could imagine the arsenal fans forgetting quick if wenger left and they got a successful man in but not fergie but who knows. That's the problem, he was a one off, I've got a feeling Rodgers could be of the same ilk, got the feeling he'll have a long stint at Liverpool. Finding a manager to suit the big clubs ( or any club really) is so hard now, in one breath you need to give them time in the next they need results because of the coin... And the impat

Wilf, your 100% right about the commercial aspect, when I was a kid Liverpool were the team, loads of my mates were Liverpool fans, in the last 20 years it's been UTD..
