The lack of ventilation and a tin roof will cause you your damp issues, as GTE said... Was craning up 60 odd meter long roof sheets, an aluminium system, we had 4 of us on the ground with guy ropes either end, me and brother either end with a lad making sure no knots in the line, it was at Exeter airport.. All of sudden the sheets swinging in mid air and the ropes being pulled through our hands at a rate of knots.... Let go, I shout at the lad, a loop had formed in the line, round his leg and he was dragged off his feet, knocks me over and then dragged behind this f***ing great sheet across the site ( like the old western films when they're dragged behind a horse lol), he hit th

Fell twice, luckily not from great heights and I landed ok, just a bit of bruising nothing more... That's some height mate.... Remember when we were first erecting steel, no cherry pickers etc, just walking the rafter backs... f**k that now.... Done an old barn erected and clad about 40ft to the ridge, no scaffold, nets anything... All steel and cladding walked up the rafters, nearly 20 years ago now ...

Yeah yeah and before phones you had to walk round and talk to them....blah blah blah. Move with the times grandad....lolHaha... Nothing compared with going down the phone box, giving it a couple of whacks to get 20p to fall out, that give you about 10 mins talk lol...The pips always went just as you were about to ask the girl out lol f**k I'd forgot about that Kev! :laugh: One swift whack with the palm of the hand and the 20p would drop like a good 'un! Missus has gone on it recently, purely because my 15 year old daughter has now joined so a little monitoring is required IMO... People I've known all my life write some of the most inane shit I've ever read, they're daughters in the school nativity and all of a sudden they're a broadway star in the making lol.. A lad that used to work for me is the worst f**k he talks rubbish, I wouldn't join as if I want to speak to my mates I give them a ring... I come on here cause I like hunting, fishing etc.... Thought the same this weekend Baw, where did January go Ffs... Seasons fast coming to an end, the fishing will begin soon though so not all bad.. The problem I have is I'm always programming in work weeks or months in advance, looking forward constantly really and perhaps the present does pass me by?? The scariest thing by far is the kids though, not babies anymore.. And they all no more now than either me or they're mum lol

The pasties were from a few miles from me in Devon, the scrumpy was from Somerset.......but...... I bloody love Cornwall... The north coast especially... We were at friends for roast in a small place called Port Wrinkle last Sunday, they live 2 doors down from the village pub and 2 minutes walk from the beach, don't get much better..... My veiled attempt at an independence piss take has turned into a Cornish love in, I tell the kids all the time we're lucky where we live.... Not in but very close to Cornwall lol .
