i had springer/terrier xs years ago-werent great.A beagle or cocker over a springer is a good cross or maybe there might be someone on here with hound/springer crosses already..I saw a border terrier x springer a few seasons back that was a right good bitch.(she looked like a fullbred border)-what part of limerick are you in.

Would it be too bold to imagine, that in the great length of time, since the earth began to exist, perhaps millions of ages before the commencement of the history of mankind, would it be too bold to imagine, that all warm-blooded animals have arisen from one living filament, which THE GREAT FIRST CAUSE endued with animality, with the power of acquiring new parts, attended with new propensities, directed by irritations, sensations, volitions, and associations; and thus possessing the faculty of continuing to improve by its own inherent activity, and of delivering down those improvements by gene

Strong, fallible, human gods they were, gods who got drunk or angry and wrecked the place or godesses who sold their virtue to gnomes for jewelery..I suppose they reflected the values of their worshippers. I cant prove that any god exists but conversely i cant prove that theres no god.The human mind seeks meaning in the information it processes-it forms a beleif-then rationalises it with explanations( after the event)-then reinforces the beleif by searching for supporting evidence while ignoring anything contrary to the belief (e.g ANTIs,cult members etc.)

back in the 60s or seventies there was a greyhound that lived wild for 6 or seven months -was captured and won the st.ledger a few weeks later.

The mormons got one thing right-id agree with their definition of god as " the still small voice that breatheth through and pierceth all things". thats enough of a definition/religion for me.The first 5 books books of the bible were supposedly written down by moses who from what ive read was the D.B Plummer of his time(using other peoples stories and claiming them as his own.

When i was a young fella my best friend had 2 cairn xs ,one was a white cairn x russell -a right good bitch -excellent busher/stay till dug to ,people aggressive when told to be but not otherwise-the other one was a cairn x border -not worth a fuk at anything. The cairn/border was called steffi because she was a pup whenever s.graf won wimbeldon so some members on here might remember when that was.(both of them were out of the one cairn bitch).Thje russellxcairn bitch always made me curious to see what a fullbred cairn would be like as a hunter_still havnt tried it though.

id say theres a grain of truth in the bible and in the theory of evolution but neither has the whole truth..Id believe the flood was real-if someone dosent id suggest they go and visit the ceide fields in mayo in ireland(ancient farms found underneath 12 feet of peat bog)..The fall in the garden of eden represents the end of people living in their ecological niche as hunter gatherers

i was on the piss down in killarney about 10 years ago-an old man came in -for 10 minutes we thought he was speaking german(-id understand a "normal kerry accent)

but we did have a niche once-the archaeoligical remains of human inhabitations are consistent for nearly a million years-nomadic,hunter gatherers living in groups of extended family-theres also no proof that homo erectus, neanderthal man etc werent as fully human as us all(just ugly as fuk)..Theres a school of thought that reckon that the domestication of the dog was the key event that made proto-farming and eventually agriculture and civilisation/society possible..Language,numbers,laws wouldnt have been nessecary before that..just living in the niche... Dawkins is a prick i.m.o---people an

Are gorillas not apes and do the not live in grassy fields?. What triggers evolution to slow down or speed up, crocodiles could have evolved to be faster on land or not breath air? All organisms and animals are true survivors what makes anything better than another at surviving? and why do things that turn bad also turn black..........like yellow bananas So many questions, and not enough answers :-) one thing that has always puzzled me is periods, or coming into season, ferrets once a year, dogs twice, wives every fecking month. Why can my wife not be more like a fe

Ironically, that's how the church is towards non-believers. However, unlike the Church, he can offer explanations of why he believes he is right ! All they have is 'because the Bible says so'. And let's be honest, most religious types these days are dangerous idiots ! Blackbriar, who or what are you referring to as "the church" you are not all that specific. . and let me tell you, if you believe in the theory of evolution your just as religious as the chapel folk. . You have faith in that which have not seen and you live your life according (by and large) to what you believe. . Be under

anybody from ireland ever come accross anything like a scottish wildcat (i.e the size of a smallfox, bushytail and definitely not a feral cat).A friends wifes brother (only 13 years old)is a real whizz kid with electronics-he made an infra red trail camera type thing-got a picture on it that could only be a wildcat-there was one supposedly sighted about 4 miles from where the picture was taken about 10 years ago.Ill try and get a copy of the picture to put up here.

Semen Straws And Artifcial Breeding
tinytiger replied to Tommy pepper's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
theres at least 2 places over here that will store it-i think theres a fee of about 50 euro a year for storing it-there was a greyhound litter in the states last year by a dog that was born in ireland in 1972 -

Substituting Saluki Blood For Greyhound Blood.
tinytiger replied to jukel123's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Although I wouldnt personally breed to a track greyhound ever I totally agree with you. thanks, so much emphasis is put on a coursing greyhounds speed ie the run up which to me only proves one thing which is fastest in a straight line of maybe 2 or 300yds would allowing the hare more law not also test stamina, agility, durability etc? Ya and if I absolutely had to use a track dog it would have to be a 9/16ths type and not one of them 1/4 milers. didnt know there was races that short in the states-from what i see of american lines over this side-they seem to be a lot more dur
