  11. But can the physical benefits not be gained through any type bull terrier ?......are they not too dog aggressive ?..... ive a few here that are a quarter apbt-no real problems with dog aggression-well i wouldnt let them off the lead around strange dogs. The size of them is very variable though -from an 11lb bitch to a dog that id say is 35lb +.The other 3 ive seen lately(all siblings) are a useful sort of size (18-24lb id say). TT do you find some that have not gone to ground as readily as a pure bred terrier? Their mother did no problem-but some of her siblings didnt-they werent
  12. My cousin had a wire fox terrier he used to dig to when we were young fellas,a very ,very hard dog And off pure show breeding-id say theirs still potential in them but he was probably lucky in the dog he got

  18. i know a guy with a kelpie x border collie(no hound in him)-probably wouldnt be enough sighthound in the pups though and the owner is a bit of a prick.I know of a guy that keeps very good collie hounds _my friend had an excellent dog off him (nicked last year aged 13)-Ill try and get his number off someone if you want
  19. fine looking pup, best of luck with him,did you get him from g Hammond.
  20. would there be less wastage in this as the chance of getting a proper worker compared to the plummer breed would be higher? dont know. there is a dvd where he has a pack of them ratting forgotten the name its hardly a digging dog hed be trying to get-id say it (plummere/whippet)could produce a very good busher-a working cocker over a whippet might be good.the smallest dog i ever saw catch a hare was a 3/4 bred wheaten hound over a very small jack russell bitch
  21. another article you might find interesting...http://newguinea-singing-dog-conservation.org/tidbits/OriginOfTheDog.pdf
  22. theres also a theory that the were domesticated by "homo erectus" which was ancestral to neanderthals and ourselves.
  23. To put it in perspective a greyhound man could use the fastest dog up clonmel this year for 300 euro (£250).12 inches TTs seems very small for a jagd-i covered a bitch with one last year (she missed and was later stolen) and id say he was 16-17 inches.
  24. It was the bitch that got stolen in me last year-she was able to get to ground-(best i ever had)-not sure of exact size 28lb 15 inches(in or around)
