  1. Ironically, that's how the church is towards non-believers. However, unlike the Church, he can offer explanations of why he believes he is right ! All they have is 'because the Bible says so'. And let's be honest, most religious types these days are dangerous idiots ! Blackbriar, who or what are you referring to as "the church" you are not all that specific. . and let me tell you, if you believe in the theory of evolution your just as religious as the chapel folk. . You have faith in that which have not seen and you live your life according (by and large) to what you believe. . Be under
  2. no he wont-running hares with lurchers is illegal in ireland-but if a fella was out after rabbits and a hare just popped up out of the blue...
  3. bent, yellow and caught up in the wrong bunch-theres a good few out there with more than 50% in common
  4. anybody from ireland ever come accross anything like a scottish wildcat (i.e the size of a smallfox, bushytail and definitely not a feral cat).A friends wifes brother (only 13 years old)is a real whizz kid with electronics-he made an infra red trail camera type thing-got a picture on it that could only be a wildcat-there was one supposedly sighted about 4 miles from where the picture was taken about 10 years ago.Ill try and get a copy of the picture to put up here.
  5. sorry didnt read your post right(thought the jagd was the dog)-kemet??
  6. you could get done a lot cheaper than that in one of the greyhound places-newpark or trade kennels in tipperary
  7. theres at least 2 places over here that will store it-i think theres a fee of about 50 euro a year for storing it-there was a greyhound litter in the states last year by a dog that was born in ireland in 1972
  8. He was bred in wrexham by T.H sealyham blood? i met a man at birr game fair about 2 years ago who was from wrexham(was only talking to him for a minute and didnt get his name)-he had dogs very similar to your pup
  9. Although I wouldnt personally breed to a track greyhound ever I totally agree with you. thanks, so much emphasis is put on a coursing greyhounds speed ie the run up which to me only proves one thing which is fastest in a straight line of maybe 2 or 300yds would allowing the hare more law not also test stamina, agility, durability etc? Ya and if I absolutely had to use a track dog it would have to be a 9/16ths type and not one of them 1/4 milers. didnt know there was races that short in the states-from what i see of american lines over this side-they seem to be a lot more dur
  10. place that stores greyhound semen-merefield stud is one that i know of in england.Maybe theyd be able to advise you on giving the bitch antibiotics etc. if you were breeding her again http://www.merefieldstud.com/
  11. Yes mate agrea,What happened with all the greys that where coarsing before the ban, have they all been allowed to die out?On another note some one said you shouldnt be breeding a dog that isnt perfect or along those lines,Maybe you can get a perfect one trick pony?but for your average lurcher lad that wants to do a bit of this, bit of that theres always going to be somthing that isnt perfect couarage, feet stamina, strength, brains the list is endless.I doubt even lads that claim to have had a "dog of a life time" would be able to say it was perfect. From what i can see the english coursing line
  12. i wouldnt think that theres anybody that knows that as plummers are mainly kept in england and jagds mainly in continental europe and the united states. Some plummers have away better nose than others.

  14. agree with you 100% alimac, electronic collars are for lazy fat fuckers who cant run-only confuse the dog-thinks its getting shocked for coming back-a check cord is much bettere i.m.o
  15. BB24,there are more oversized plummers about then ever,if only they were of the size you mention,I wish you luck,WM and not just new blooded ones either-what do you think is causing the increase in size-maybe some very busy plummer stud was carrying genes for largeness?
  16. Maybe (Taoist story) There is a Taoist story of an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years. One day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit. "Such bad luck," they said sympathetically. "Maybe," the farmer replied. The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it three other wild horses. "How wonderful," the neighbors exclaimed. "Maybe," replied the old man. The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune. "Maybe," answ
