  1. I was born and raised in the Black Country then moved to the sticks about 20 years ago. Still enjoy going back but it's changed a hell of a lot. We used to knock off work at dinner time Friday then up Dudley till 7 in ur work clothes . Then home half pissed , shower shit shave then back out . Same Saturday and Sunday. I don't drink now . I think I had my fill lol
  2. I can see where your all coming from but if trigger had put some pics of stunning scenery on a mountain top with a pic with a little kid in and said we walked 10 mile and had a beautiful day then you d all be giving him likes and telling him how good it was for the pup. He s walked down a field and let his pup run in a soft grass field for 2 rabbits and it's the end of the world . When mine are jabbed they come with me lamping off the lead . If they want to go and have a look it's their choice. Each to their own
  3. If doughnuts keep paying the money then there will always be a market .
  4. Or if you have bull crosses the hare will be the ones they can t catch
  5. you ve done a cracking job with those pups mate , they really look well .
  6. You might be right about the mentoring thing. I was thinking about that. But you know, you don't just jump on an anonymous web site and say hi, my name is Kate B do you want to mentor me, do you? unless you ARE an idiot..... I know about addictive, and one day I'm planning to get somewhere with a tiny bit of a paddock and THAT will be the time to think of 2, or 3, or 4 .......! I do understand about the dispatching and killing because ..... do you think I AM an idiot? And meanwhile can some of you guys on here that actually DO have some respect and manners for the rest of humanity message
  7. ur right mate. I'm the type that don't like change when really I should have introduced coursing blood a while ago now. I love the little half bull x s I've run but they ve always lacked the extra gear. I always worried the coursing blood would make cowards of em . Only one way to find out I supposeHave kept a few of these coursing dog X bull greys . They certainly have more gear than the half bulls and they can throw there hand at pretty much anything that gets up fetch them on slowly and correct and they are decent at teeth. Use the right stud and think about it and you shouldn't go wrong .

  9. we ve had a few lads come with these types on drives and they really surprised me. I always assumed they were point and slip dogs with no brain. How ignorant I was. They were a pleasure to watch work. One lad had a half cross sal/greyhound and the dog would run the outside of the wood just ahead of the hounds. He took a variety of game with him. They followed the quads all day through all livestock. Im seriously considering this type to line my bull x bitch .
  10. Those pups are in perfect condition . Well done that man
  11. I ve driven all the crew cabs and without doubt the navara was most comfortable, it was an 8 hour round trip. It was a 2013 model and had height adjustment on the seat which many trucks had nt at the time. I d love to get one but I ve read to many bad reviews on them. Isuzu rodeo was great off road but a bit more agricultural. L200 and ranger were older models but would have made great dog trucks . I ve owned 2 hi lux s and I found both twitchy on the arse end .
  12. how did they turn out . Did the pups have any coat ?
  13. i got given a load of beef mince recently and it made all my dogs coats dull and dry. I threw it away after that.
  14. yes , they were handy round a hole but useless on a slip .would have like to have tried the 3/4 cross or even 1/8?
  15. yes , they were handy round a hole but useless on a slip .
  16. Only reason I ask is I used Stan over a reverse 3/4 bitch. The bitch was about 22 and game as they come but steady as a rock in all manners of work. The pups turned out stunning animals about 26 tts and could run. But they never had the drive the bitch had and were twitchy with livestock. I'm not slating men or dogs in any way as I ve met Reece and got on with him great and his dogs were all well kept and well mannered. Just wondered how it affected the pups out of mink ie were they as steady , more game etc. did it improve on the bitch
  17. how did she work compared to the stuff she s thrown burnie
  18. looks like a reverse three quarter we bred. Not the one trip pony that people think .
  19. I saw that one dad was a "muscly chap" but people will buy them lol and probably breed off them and more and more crap dogs are about. Good look with finding a pup for your lad. cheers Craig . it s not the paying for a pup I find hard ,it's the shit that's being bred from that makes it difficult to find something. The bull crosses I keep suit me and do what I want but are to big for him and I don't plan breeding off anything yet .I ve never kept a whippet type of lurcher so just wondered if anyone had bred something decent that my lad could start off with.
  20. Brenner had a litter of bull whippet 1st x for sale a few weeks ago mate.Would of suited you by the sounds of it. Could pm him see if he's any left. I did look at those mate but not what I'm after. Something 22-23 that can run with a dash of bull. Thanks for letting me know though
  21. I ve been looking for a pup for my lad. Just wanted a smallish type lurcher for fox drives and a bit of lamping if anyone knows of anything. My dogs are a bit big for him he s only 11. One advert said " dad is a bull cross mommy has come to bed eyes" ffs . if anyone knows of anything I d be grateful. Whippet with a dash of bull or something similar.
  22. yeh the beddy puts fire in to them, even the beddyx whippets, ive read that before that good proven dogs, dont always produce the same in there offspring , strange that, suppose its like saying just because Mike Tyson as a son, it dont mean his son will be the same, he might not like boxing / getting hurt .lol thats why people line breed to give themselves a slightly better chance of getting a worker no one knew the breeding of the dog so it would have been difficult . Especially as the dog never produced as well
  23. I used to admire a first cross beddy greyhound a friend of mine kept. I ve never seen a dog have so much hatred for foxes. He d kill them quick to. Strong winter foxes on big open fields daytime would be dead before you got to him. We put that dog over 2 class bull x bitches and another of his type but he never threw. Shame as he was a class act .
