  2. Think he meant 3/4 bull x 1/4 grey
  3. i like the bitch. I loved working these types nice steady and silent
  4. Stunning pup mate. Hope you find her a good home
  5. they make it look so simple. I ve been retiring mine since he was eight, but he won t be left at home when I put my boots on. He s 12 now and still working well. Heard good things about ur bitch
  6. i ve said this before but don t rise to it pal. He s ur dog u know what he does and seen with ur own eyes . No one else's opinion should matter. I ve worked half crosses for years and would work them anywhere. Only the donuts doubling them up get em battered
  7. A lad had some plummers out with me a few years back. The dog was hit and miss working stuff about 3 foot away and not holding when he should but he had a little bitch. Gutsy little bxxxxrd she was. I liked her and would have kennelled her and I'm no Plummer fan. She was full of herself and craved work. But he mainly used her for ratting. He thought she was to rough . I think she d have settled down with a few outings
  8. Nice looking dog. How's he bred
  9. 1st question I d ask my self is do I have enough work for another dog. Then is the bitch honestly good enough to breed off. If you know of better bitches then wait and get a pup from one of those it's far less hassle. How old is the bitch , reason I ask is if she s made 6 plus without much injury then I d use a similar dog over her. If she s injury prone because of her speed and feet then put something terrier or collie blooded dog over her. Or as I said buy a pup in its less stressful.
  10. I would nt even bother explaining ur self to the negative comments mate or Gaz .Plenty would of sold her or took a litter though they would nt admit it. Gaz has no work for what she does and u did. Hope she works well for ya.
  11. My lurchers are out from a young age and plenty of time put into them. I don t try them on fox , they ll take fox when they re ready. They re out with hounds and terriers and lamped regularly. He showed no interest in fox and I know the chap I gave him to who thought he was a cracking dog. But he still never took a fox.
  12. I had a 3/4 bred out of stormin Norman to a greyhound called jet. A blue merle pup who matured to 28 tts and was very easy to train and decent on hare and rabbit but was a coward on anything else. I explained to David when I went for a pup that I wanted a collie cross for mainly fox and was advised to go for a pup from stormin Norman as he was throwing decent stuff. I ran this dog on till he was just over 2 years old and still he would run along foxes barking. I rang Hancock and explained how much time I'd put into the dog and how dissapointed I was. His reply was to come and try another. I ga
  13. spot on. I have a litter here from an old dog still working to a good bitch. First question a lad asked. What are their heads like ? I could nt care a shit as long as they graft
  14. theres lids on each compartment each a multiple of large holes. Then I have the rear of the boxes drilled with approx 20mm holes then a few small holes in the bottom in case they piss in their box
  15. I ve bred and kept half crosses , reverse 3/4 and 5/8 x 3/8 gaz and can honestly say the best all round dog I ve kept was very similar to your bitch. He was first cross dam back to a lurcher of mixed breeding with no bull in the sire. A lot of lads saw him day and night and he put a lot of stuff away. When I sadly retired him at 11 I went to the heavier type but none have held a candle to him as an all round dog.My next pup will be something similar to your bitch. Hope she turns out wellCheers Jake. Appreciate that. Her dam was bull/grey X collie/bull/grey and sire was half cross wheaten grey a

  19. Glad to see you have a sense of humour . I ve seen lads blow there top when it ain't going their way with dogs. Would love to have seen him take the net out . Hope all goes well next time
  20. french? British bulldog half cross for me. They take a while to get there and leave a trail of slobber like a slug but I'm proud as fxxk . Does piss you off keep lifting em in and out the van though ?
  21. Suzuki king quad 450 or 700. Reliable quick and independent suspension also selectable 2 and 4 wheel drive and diff lock. Had 2 now and I rate them better than the Hondas I had.
