  1. Over 38,000 ft.lbs muzzle energy (.223 has 1,200 ft.lbs!) and a loaded round costs $40! Reminds me of Snatch; Sol: "What the f**k is that?" Vinny: "Heh heh. This is a shotgun, Sol." Sol: "It's a f***ing anti-aircraft gun, Vincent!" Vinny: "Well I wanna raise some pulses, don't I?" Sol: "You'll raise Hell. Never mind pulses."
  2. How many parents really treat their kids like that? Less than 5% would you say? Now how many of those 5% would have made top level athletes? Less than 1%? So that's 0.05% of the population of young sportsmen that are being denied their potential.......... that's piss in the ocean Gary! As far as football goes i think it's widely accepted that the success of the English leagues is to the detriment of the English player. But I'm not qualified to comment too much on that. But that has too much of a Nationalist flavour for modern Britain eh? Competition should be encouraged, there'
  3. Tell me about it..... I get absolutely ripped by all my mates.......
  4. So let me get this straight, some big house wants a one time rabbit clearance, they keep the meat, you get the hides and some poor mug does all the graft..... LOL I don't mind doing these jobs if there's the potential for a decent permission out of it or if it can be done at my leisure or if I'm earning out of it but that sounds awefully like a pro job without the pay....
  5. How long has the woman been lifting? Does she really need steroids?
  6. My bitch had a bloody awefull dislocation on her front outside toe this time last year. The toe was 90 degrees to where it should be a swollen as hell. The vet reckoned it was broke and wanted it off asap, I said no way X-ray it and see how bad it is. Turned out it was just a bad dislocation, bandage for a couple of weeks then light lead walks building up to long lead walks by 6 weeks. Around late December I let her off the lead and a couple weeks after that lamping. Fecked my season but i wanted to be safe. So far this season no probs and ran some pretty hard ground...
  7. Out of interest why 71/2s? I just wouldn't feel comfortable using them on rabbit or pheasant. Do people really think I go out with 4 different cartridges? If I was targeting a specific quarry then I would use what I stated but it doesn't mean I refrain from a shot just because my cartridge isn't perfect, LOL. Generally I'll have a pocket full of 30gm #6 and a couple 36gm BB in another pocket.
  8. They should check behind the sofa!
  9. First cross deerhound greyhounds eh?
  10. Do you not perhaps think that this would be all over mainstream news if true? LOL
  11. Nice to see this thread again. Nick, you did a bit of shooting last year if I remember. Do you feel confident enough in your dog to take him with you this year? How steady is he with birds?
  12. A real simple and cheap kit I have that will get your blades shaving sharp is the lanski crock sticks. Just a small block of wood with two cylindrical ceramic bars, it has 25 degree and 20 degree inserts for the bars. Handy for carrying about for a quick touch up. Seems they've added different grades since I bought mine, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Deluxe-Turnbox-Crock-Sharpener-Medium/dp/B000B8FW0E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1382359742&sr=8-1&keywords=lansky+crock+stick
  13. Best thing I've ever seen was the 6" cotton polishing mop on a bench grinder. Matt (midnight) off here showed me in his shed. That simple setup gets ya steel hair splittingly sharp!
  14. Totally worth the breeding just for the name! Haha......... now chuck the fecking things in the river!
  15. "Grassing is grassing", pmsl, what utter bollocks.
  16. Many happy returns maltenby.
  17. funny thing is i havent mourned my relationship... Ive been very calm about it... No regrets but was a little worried for his wellbeing but i left him with everything apart from my personal belongings and dog run. I really dont feel anything other than relief... I dont have to look after or put up with that moron of a husband any longer That's good gem. Dealing with break ups depends greatly on your attitude to it in the first place, just because both of you know it has to happen doesn't mean that you both want it to. If you want it to end then it makes dealing with it much easier,
  18. When it's over, it just happens, you both know and it all becomes incredibly clear and relieving. Ending it is easy, getting your head straight after is the shit part.
  19. Hey, that's right jack! It's onnnn like donkey kongggg!... Boo-ya! LOL, Si is a legend!
  20. Lions don't concern themselves with the opinions of lambs. Tywyn Lanister (I think?)
  21. That's why I'm thinking a rocket? Either that or he's discovered Alf's ship and is vastly underestimating its value.
