No not boyds. To many import issues with buying from them. It’s an english hand made thing. Just can’t remember the chaps name. It’s an option I guess. But even then I’m still not a huge fan of how underengineered the bolts etc are imo.

Couple pictures of the stock on the off chance anyone can ID it with a suggestion.

I've never been much happy with how well my rifle is seated in my stock. It had a tiny bit of play in the production stock and still has a tiny bit of play in this aftermarket stock. Can't remember the stock makers name, it was about 300 quid off ebay and is simply wood. Which brings me to my question. What are my options for a utterly rock solid seating of the rifle in the stock? IMO the tikka system of securing the stock is a bit lacking. I've seen stuff like this, which looks more robust. Any other options folks? http://lumleyarms.us/index.php?route=product/product&pr

Down’s syndrome lad shot dead by police
Born Hunter replied to shovel leaner's topic in General Talk
Pretty sure when there is a firearm involved, or even a knife in close quarters, then non lethal options are off the table. Just too risky when matey is believed to have a firearm. It's a shit situation. One that I'm not qualified to pass judgement on. -
Not sure if that is a mistaken inference by the author. Deer threaten ground nesting birds because they browse the bottom out of woods and hedges, removing the protective cover for them which then leads to over-predation. Never heard of them eating eggs to any significant degree before?

When you're being called a dickhead and repeatedly told how your method is second rate then it's hardly soft to be running low on tolerance, considering his contribution to date. Folks just need to accept that these French lads do it differently.

If folks can't just give up with their f***ing pride and opinions about locators and how a foreign hunter should bow to the British/Irish way then this forum will soon become poorer for it. Just f***ing accept it or lose another great contributor to this forum. Blaise has been a bloody gent on here and yet folks are still telling him how he's doing it wrong. Even name calling now! Just accept it, even if you cant understand it. Or simply don't follow this thread.

Can't bring myself to take part in what is clearly such a poorly researched survey. Attitudes are utterly ruined in the UK anyway.

https://www.guntrader.uk/guns/rifles/savage-arms/bolt-action/17-wsm/180718153620025 They're about. Not sure I'll be in a rush to chop the HMR in for one though.

Or 22 to take advantage of the semi auto platform.

Got stuff like this scattered about. Few representative roe the other side etc. I need to do something with the head hanging below the shelf. I’m looking for a very rustic bit of weathered timber for it.

I saw them at the gamefair last week. Finally opened an outlet in the UK. Not tried any of their gear yet so this aint a promo but I intend to. Just letting anyone else interested know. https://www.stoneycreekhunting.co.uk

I saw something somewhere recently where 'they' are painting the pavements of a city white to combat the hot weather. The benefits and energy savings were quite interesting. Afraid I can't remember any details but struck me as really innovative.

Pretty much the same in Paris right? It's a world away from even London imo. Quite illustrative of the separation between continental Europe and this archipelago we call home.

Anecdotally it seems like insects in general have had population explosions this summer. It struck me as significant because I remember how biologists were saying that a measure of insect population decline was how many get splattered on windscreens compared to previous years. My windscreen is thick with the little snotty fuckers this summer! It will have done wild game birds and other insectivores a world of good. I've seen a few gangs of pheasant poults numbering 9+, which is pretty good survival rate.

Yeah, that's where I found out about her. Sound lass. If you don't already you should follow @emiliegreatheadart. She does some quality lurcher and terrier studies. Currently doing one of a roe throated by a fawn lurcher.

I like this lasses stuff. https://www.coralroseart.com/gallery/#&gid=1&pid=19 The OP one is very good in terms of how representative it is, very talented. I just like Coral Rose's style in the link above.

I'm too pretty for prison
-
Might be of interest to a few. I don;t think it'll win any Oscars base on the trailer, lol, but I like the genre.
-
You're right he does deserve that. But it should be part of the actual sentence, not at the will of the prison service. Corruption is never a good thing and that's exactly what were talking about.

Is it a bird, is it a plane.... No! It's the incredible monkeyman!

Film badge? Yeah we get issued those at work. Have realtime digital monitors as well.

Don't you want a super power? I've watched Marvel and I'm getting me some gamma radiation!
-
Radiation terrifies most folks and yet they know next to f**k all about it. The exposure would have been very controlled and monitored. It's fear of the unknown and unseen combined with some horrific images of radiation sickness from overexposure.

My everyday carry! Genuinely though, got a load at work. LOL
