Yes mate, windy night will muffle your shots and not put approaching birds off....keep at it.

put a permanent hide up asap so the ducks can get used to it. ideally you want to feed it everyday in the afternoon and push off anything thats on it. Dont shoot at them or they wont come back. one bucket full should feed a hundred ducks as a rule of thumb. As has been said, get there half hour before dark and hope for a wet and windy night. when positioning your hide you want to be aware of the wind direction and also you want to be looking at the lightest part of the sky......... let us know how you get on.

I don't have a pension mate, I'm in my forties mate and I reckon the generation before me were the lucky ones. My old man has it sorted god bless him. Just missed the war, has that 'old fashioned' values having lived in a frugal era and values things in today's throw away society.....but has a pension that is wort something...I'm lucky and have a few fingers in..

The one that always makes me chuckle was 20 years ago.....a nightclub was hired out with drinks and a coach back at the end of the night. It all got out of hand on the way home and the coach driver drove straight to the police station !! Haha, great memories.

i wanted to take the boys out an cut down a tree an bring it home, she moaned like fook cos she had spent a few quid on a fake one last year an wanted to use it again, so I get to go get real one next year, you better hope I don't find ye garden mate haha You can't beat a real one.....I have a few real tall fir trees, maybe 30 foot tall, every year I lop one and use the top lol....can't bring myself to pay £30 for one...not stopped today, girls in bed and I'm settling down to match of the day with a glass of port lol....

Up the garden this afternoon with chainsaw and lopped one down.....3 hours later lights up and decorated....crispy lemon chicken and rice made, bottle of riocha downed, strictly watched with the little one......ready for bed lol !!
