  1. There's 2 plod in Yorkshire that have just been sacked. They were chopper coppers and unfortunately they seemed to have been recording a couple of dogging spots and women getting undressed in their bedrooms of an evening lol....
  2. It's weekends like this that keep me sane. Life is lived too fast nowerdays, at least mine is lol......never have the time but love the odd weekend like this. The build up to it is as enjoyable as the do itself !......keep at it..

  4. Conger was a strap mate, will put up a vid of us trying to get it back in the sea lol. Back from Thailand last month, didn't catch ! Had a few nights at Chatrium riverside in Bangkok, there was some real big fish by the hotel topping, but wouldn't take anything, big silver flanks .....flew to Phuket and some time with the family at Kaho Lak and then a few days at Kaho sok in the national park.......enjoyed....

  10. September equals a trip north for me. The weather gods always smile and we normally manage to winkle out a few fish. An overnight drive and a kip in the truck only disturbed by a couple of nosy plod and we were on the boat to the islands. As is the norm it was scorchio as we stumbled over the moor trying to nail an elusive grouse and as usual they evaded us.........did manage to see 4 as they flew off laughing and a couple of ringtail hen harriers (which probably accounts for the lack of grouse ) The dogs were knackered after their mornings work and we came off the moor with nothing but

    There is a roost opposite Elland road football ground. Must be 100 + in winter....would love to shoot it but the cop shop is just up the road.....
  18. First cast a fly into the salt about 20 years ago. Was up near Achiltibui, the summer Isles camping and messing about for a week or so. Caught good pollack and smashed by good fish.....opened my eyes to what a fly could do........then I tried a gill net lol.......
  19. I have had a hobby over my place 3 times in the last 2 weeks, today it was chasing swallows within 20 feet. A really unusual sight up here in North Yorkshire.
