I used to work with a few guys from South Africa, they told me a few stories, most people have dogs there that are trained to attack and the whites have dogs trained to attack blacks, they said basically if a black guy is on your property even just in your garden then he's fair game because almost all crime is committed by young black men and you don't take any chances So you take your chances as a criminal I suppose!

Must of read the gamekeeper a hundred times as a kid, it's the reason I went into game keeping and even tho I'm not a keeper anymore I'm sure my passion for all things countrysidey came from the magic in that book It's one of my most treasured possessions as its kind of shaped my life, bit deep I know but it's true R I P

My lad did a couple, one was about 200m from my smallholding just down the lane in an old tree trunk, quite fun really with the kids

Gave it a go last night and most stuff seemed OK, some just didn't work I suppose you learn which ones to use after a while, I did try to put on the revenant and it was some guy recording in a cinima you could see heads bobbing about I think any films that are out on DVD play fine as they have been downloaded proper All the box sets worked just fine Haven't looked at sports yet tho We just put kodi on our older tower that we don't really use so we can stand it by telly and leave it connected Quite chuffed so far and not cost a penny Thanks for all replys

Do people ever get done for streaming all this free stuff? Is there like scanner vans going about or anything? It seems loads have got them what they gunna do arrest half the country!!! I'm gunna put it on our downstairs pc later and try it for a bit, even if I just cancel Netflix and amazon prime and maybe sky movies for now still save some coin!

Chatting to a mate at the gym he says he has a Kodi box and it's so good he's cancelled his sky package etc What's the laws on these things? I mean they sell them on Amazon etc so can't be illegal can they? My misses is a bit worried about it but I would like to try one as we pay over £90 a month for sky, Netflix, and amazon prime We have good broadband speed here, could anyone recommend a good box to get to try it, can you get all the channels from Sky etc on them Cheers

Had my bees a few years now (although I have lost interest a little) but I have found they do better in a bitter winter All this mild weather has them out and flying with nothing to forage Were the stores they had left rock solid? As I've had this before

We've thought of doing a shop or something like it for years My uncle mick had "micks cafe" by Oxford train station for years we thought of taking it over a couple years back when he gave it up but didn't bother now wish we had!

I like what I do, mainly gardening self employed also moles, and wasps in summer But I may drop the pest work as I'm waiting to hear about a big garden contract, year round guaranteed money to good to turn down really But I would love to earn a living from my smallholding, and am slowly but surely starting a small hedging nursery from there The wife is getting well stressed at work, she's a manager at county council on £40+k a year but with all the cuts is doing about 4 people's work, so we are going this week to view a small local newsagents that has come up for sale, she would quit wor

Be handy for my smallholding on a tripwire, get a text grab baseball bat I could be there within 5 mins to sort thieving bar stewards out!! Not much use for traps tho except maybe on squirrel in a loft or something like that could save on checks?

Had geolanders on my hilux for last 10 or so years but just reasently tried cooper discoverer a/t as there a bit cheaper and to be honest I think there better, chunkier tread pattern and quiet on road I will be sticking with them for sure

Yes and no I've struggled a lot to get what we now have, we've worked bloody hard and have had good times as well as bad but I'm in my forties now and can't help but think the best is yet to come!! As I get more time for me and don't have the money worries we once had so I hope to go on for a long while yet and enjoy it all

I worked security on a massive fuel station once between jobs, I don't think their allowed to let anybody fill any container that not disigned for fuel( not sure about ibc)

I do all sorts really I have a contract at a big country house where I do all the gardening grow there veg look after the couple of acres of woods and river, tennis courts, swimming pool etc, this is 20 hours a week and is my main income But also I do moles and wasps I also have a 4 acre smallholding which takes a lot of my time up Just starting to grow a few thousand evergreen hedging plants to sell each year, maybe just on eBay or might do a small website not sure yet, I'm hoping this will take off and expand so I could go to work each day at my own holding, that's the dream for me

Got a couple of hawthorn in leaf at the smallholding, also got some that haven't lost all leafs yet!! Madness

When I was a kid I ordered an air pistol from Js ramsbottom I think they was called, messed me around for about 3 months or so, I then changed the order to something different as I was getting fed up waiting, a week or so later I got new order then week later got the first thing I ordered aswell ??? When I got my second house I ordered a bracket to hang my punchbag on and they sent me a whole box full must of been about 10-12 in it, but my misses called them and they picked em back up?
