I think that would be £60 wasted to be honest, you should get a little Stihl 170 for around £150ish good little saw for firewood small trees etc I got a Stihl a husky and an old mcullach from when they were owned by partner all just small saws for firewood etc but all good Just be careful there's loads of cheap shit out there and also cheap fakes

  6. Sounds like a good plan! I wonder how asy it would be to have a few linked together? Like a tented house?That would be cool, it's pretty big already It came today ruddy great bag about 4' x 18" weighs a ton, 5m dia and central pole is 3m high I put up the a frame for door when checking the poles and I can almost walk under it bar about an inch Can't wait to put it up but will wait for dryer weather I think

  9. Is there any reason I couldn't leave this type of canvas tent up all summer if I retreat and dry it at the end of summer and pack it away well Also how do the retreatments go on? Can you spray it on when its up and dry?, never had a canvas tent before

  11. I was panicking for a second I thought you may have had a bad experience with that company or something!! Yeah same its a great price I thought I might use it sometimes without the groundsheet for potting up down the smallholding, just as a rain shelter sort of thing I've already told the wife if we ever split I'm living in it down the holding, sod renting or buying another house on my own, I'll be that smelly guy who lives in the woods

  13. For anyone who might be interested I just found and ordered a 5m heavy canvas bell tent 50% off 550 down to 225 brand new? That's cheaper than most sell at second hand ex festival tents The site is camping & canvas based in Cheltenham I've been looking at these for a while, glad I held off now? I've got to start a bit of camping down the smallholding next year, camp fire danish oven and all that Just to good a deal to miss

  15. Some places round here 100 plus a big bag (Oxfordshire) I get enough wood from jobs and coppicing at my smallholding for me but I burn anything, I have shit loads of poplar at the mo it burns OK, don't know where you are but if you got trailer or pick up and your passing we could do a deal

Also been looking at a "gransfors bruk wildlife hatchet" anyone know about them? Reviews seem good, quite pricey but are hand forged, just not sure if I should spend that much

  22. Battery's ok I replaced 1 in the summer the other 1 is ok, I assume both are linked? It turns over nice and fast no loss of power Dogmad, same it's fine once it's warm I got mate doing new anti roll bar drop links on Tuesday I will get him to check glow plugs then, cheers guys Can't fault the old girl really 12 years and nothing but new tyres, couple of battery's and a few rubber bushes

Had my hilux about 11-12 years now and never missed a beat, starts on the button every time but first couple of cold mornings this year and it doesn't seem to want to start straight away have to turn it over 10-15 seconds before it starts firing then lots of smoke as it starts I've never replaced glow plugs could it be that do you think? Any other ideas? It's serviced every year by my mate but just filters, basic service

I found a bit of stuff on Internet, not very clear, I think you can leave some canes thro winter just taking tops out for a early summer crop but new canes will come up and produce as autumn ones would also, I think it's an American thing so if it works as well here I don't know They are called "heritage" ever bearing but there are other types as well have a google see what you reckon I may just prune them as for autumn ones if I can't get them to produce early
