  5. I want to get a good whittling knife and a spoon carving knife also, I've seen some reasonably priced called Mora, are they any good? Also been looking at a "gransfors bruk wildlife hatchet" anyone know about them? Reviews seem good, quite pricey but are hand forged, just not sure if I should spend that much
  6. I think it's one person!! Split personality ?

  9. Had my hilux about 11-12 years now and never missed a beat, starts on the button every time but first couple of cold mornings this year and it doesn't seem to want to start straight away have to turn it over 10-15 seconds before it starts firing then lots of smoke as it starts I've never replaced glow plugs could it be that do you think? Any other ideas? It's serviced every year by my mate but just filters, basic service
  10. I found a bit of stuff on Internet, not very clear, I think you can leave some canes thro winter just taking tops out for a early summer crop but new canes will come up and produce as autumn ones would also, I think it's an American thing so if it works as well here I don't know They are called "heritage" ever bearing but there are other types as well have a google see what you reckon I may just prune them as for autumn ones if I can't get them to produce early
  11. Had mine all fixed up last year and been ok since, I've always stuck with the same guy he's got his own business and gas safe, said he could supply and fit a new ideal combi boiler for just under 2 grand
  12. Does anyone know how to properly prune ever bearing type raspberry? I have summer and autumn type already but just bought 10 heritage that are supposed to fruit twice I can't find a clear guide on how to prune them for two crops
  13. But with powerlifting obviously more single max lifts
  14. I think the most important thing to gain strength or size is to have a good spotter and train to failure then do a couple assisted reps on your last couple of sets I see so many young lads doing their 8 or 10 or whatever they've been told then putting the weights down before breaking a sweat, just adjust the weight be it up or down so you fail between 6-12 reps But you will hear a different way to train from every person you speak to and they all know best?
  15. I started with a multi gym when I was young but to be honest you can't beat free weights mate, a cheap basic incline/decline bench and a basic set of weights would do you better and take up less room also

  20. I have a leisure/caravan battery that I use for my fox fence that goes around my smallholding, it has a little indicator window that shows green when charged but goes black when needs charging It's a sealed maintenance free battery My problem is that the water inside seems to have dropped lower than the window as it just looks clear and can only see green when I wobble it Is it fooked? Still seems to work ok but I don't see how it's dropped as its sealed? Any ideas?
  21. I kept a small flock for about 8 years, nice to look at not to fussy for good ground but a real bugger to catch when you need to do anything with them They lamb fine on their own are very hardy and independent but if you want something you can handle if you have kids etc then maybe something more docile

Looking forward to repeating my bramble gin on a bigger scale than last year and I am going to try the damsons when I get my hands on them. You have to try the bramble gin, it's cracking.... Myself and a mate are also about to start our brewing lab in his place...looking forward to getting back into the beer and wine making, always liked it.... How do you make your bramble gin? I might try bramble vodka
