    Dont listern to all the shit about leaving her in season if you dont breed her mate,they are full of shit i dont breed and my jills are left in season until rhey come out of the own as a dog would and i havent lost 1 yet in 35yrs.you will get an infection that could cause death or harm if you dont keep you hutches clean from the crapping and peeing in the corners like they do.just clean it every day and check her so she is clean from infection and you will be fine.i havent bred any for 6yrs but i will be lining 2 jills this year for fresh blood my last silvers were 6yrs old never been lined by

    Im a big believer in breeding seasons as its called that for a reason.i understand the weather is changing all the time we dont even get 4 seasons now.but since i was a kid we never hunted from march to last week of august.but there was hundreds about then so it gave the dogs a good rest from the hards graft they did for 6mths.but nobody can do that now as there isnt half as much stuff about to what there used to be but i might be old fashioned.horses for courses.

    Why not mate gets some fun out of it my mate used his for ratting,ferreting lamping and it was show and racing bred,and filled the freezer for him loads of times even with pheasant and partridge.atb mate

    Went out lastnight with the new lamp and what a good thing it is,nice tight spot how it should be and a cracking distance that i think will match a striker.the only problem i had is getting used to no wire as when i climbed over a few fences i kept lifting the lamp think i was going to catch the cable.i would recommend anybody to get 1 of these spot on.

    I know a lad who has a 1stx he says its got stamina to burn,great nose and realy keen for cover.the down side is he said it can run a good hare and will only catch it when the hare tires as its not fast enough.but he did put a whippet over her and said the pups were strongheaded but fast and good noses.
