  1. Like it is in the States. Just a shame about the apathy...
  2. Save money on expensive energy drinks by going to bed earlier
  3. Try to visualise logging in here and reading the dog forum before you swing the maul... You'll be through 3-4 cords before you can say "Nice Dog! How's It Bred, Mate?"
  4. I don't have the work for a petrol splitter, or anything like a tractor, Moxy! I swing the maul to keep my belly under control... I should probably got and cut some wood looking at my keks!
  5. Not sure what your price range is BH, but have a look at some of the desert offerings from Danner, Blackhawk, 5.11, Under Armor and even Reebok and Converse. They sell hot weather gear out this way, and steer clear of the GoreTex lining if you want hot weather boots. Once the GT get's manky that stink will never leave! I found out the hard way.
  6. I'm hoping there is enough outrage to have it overturned but this is the reality of where we're at.
  7. I like Phil. He was misquoted in a magazine article. They said he's racist, and a homophobe, but they selectively edited out the part where he said everyone is entitled to their way of life and has a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. He said his religion condemns homosexuality but he preaches love and tolerance (he's the local church pastor) despite disagreement. A&E started Duck Dynasty as a "let's let everyone laugh at the rednecks" type of show but have been burned by the positive family reception it's gotten instead. They wanted a family for people to point
  8. Agreed TC, I'd be more concerned with the amount of existing rats in the UK. The ones that are breeding while Westminster keep restricting ways to control them. What about those and the diseases that they carry? Bubonic plague revival anyone?
  9. I have no issue with my kids using the internet. They have the usual tablets and computers but the parental controls limit the amount of time they can spend on them. Per week. If they burn it over the weekend then they're shit out of luck. My kids don't have phones though. They can when they're old enough to work and pay their own bills. My mate got his phone bill through, and his daughters activity was itemised. He worked out that for the month of January 2014 she'd sent nearly 8000 texts to her friends. It equated to a text every 15 seconds spread over a 24 hour period, every day. Lu
  10. Remember when they sold all off all of the utilities? Gave millions of miles of tax payers pipe and cable, away, for free? Royal Mail is just another f**k up.
  11. Has the price of respirators gone up?
  12. I think it's great news! Just don't get pissed up and fall asleep on your airbed...
  13. The names might have changed over the years, but the pictures haven't! Mods have been warning people for over a decade about the risks of posting these pics. You can take a horse to water...
  14. Metal. Gold, silver, copper, etc Coins made from the above. Not only do you have the metal content you also have the collectors value of the coin too. Mints will only issue so many a year. Paper money is becoming increasingly worthless.
  15. Have you tried wearing contacts? Vision Express used to do them for a monthly fee and it takes care of your eye tests, solutions, and replacement lenses. As many as you need.
  16. Take the link down. You're giving them more hits, linking from here, than they'll get anywhere else. Your wasting your breath arguing morality and legality. These people want you stopped and they'll never let the truth ruin a good argument.
  17. So what would be the best industrial practice for slaughter? Stunned or not? We are literally killing hundreds of thousands of animals for the table. I have no issue with that. As the demand increases so will the process. Techonology will ensure that it's cost are kept to a minimum. Humane slaughter is an oxymoron, though. Dead is dead. Are we getting hung up on what constitutes unneccessary suffering? Or does it just piss some people off that there is a ritual that goes along with it? I'm not calling anyone out, far from it, but someone mentioned (baw?) that the labelling of halal meat would
  18. Personally I have more issue in which the animals are raised/confined than with the method of dispatch. I'd rather have a halal slaughtered animal that's had a fairly decent standard of living than a humanely stunned/shot/dogged animal that's never been out of a pen and lived it's life up to it's knees in it's own shit. The only humane way, by definition, is not to kill it in the first place. Slitting the throat of an animal is a pretty common method of kill across the world. Mechanised wholesale slaughter is a pretty new invention, by comparison. I don't have an issue with either. If
  19. I don't post in here. This is my first one. But I'm an avid reader of the catty section. I had to chime in in support of BPR. Mate, your posts are a pleasure to read. You've got me and my kids into cattys and we hover around, here, looking for your new material. You've given us enough quality info to fill our summer holidays with all kinds of projects. Even now my youngest is looking for forked sticks in our little corner of the Mojave desert! Arse licking over... Chris out...
  20. Thousands of years of evolution, meets thousands of years of selective breeding. I think it's amazing to watch, personally, but I'll leave the criticism to the guys that hunt the wolf, with the domesticated wolf. Those that walk the walk will clearly have the edge on what works.
  21. People in the industry do to! When I went to work for the LA I joined an office in northern England, to replace a guy that was coming up for retirement. Six men worked at the office and the senior most men had around 100 years experience between the three of them. The junior three had around a decade. I, personally, around 5-6 years in the private sector. I came in with an awe for these old timers. I genuinely believed I was going to learn a lot from all of this collected wisdom. I mean these guys had been doing the job longer than I'd been alive! Old school rat catchers! They even defined
  22. Should we ask for a written constitution?
