And I've been corresponding with American terrier men since 2001. You's bring on this famous dog thing from the dog fighting game. You's have your Hall Of Fame and your R.O.M. and it's all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Dog fighting takes place in front of an audience and I'll presume that means everyone there sees what happened.     Personally I hope no working terrier ever becomes famous. Only the anti's and the peddlers would love to see a terrier become famous. Some of the best known, most written about terriers there's ever been were not the workers they were supposed to be ,nor did they leave the legacies behind them they're supposed to have. IMO some of the best have gone to their grave and will only be remembered by those who seen them work in the flesh and maybe have their blood on their yards. JMHO.

    I'm reading a very good book at the moment called "The Rabbit Industry in Ireland" and there's a lot of info about who brought myxi into Ireland and the spread of VHD. But it makes me sick when I hear of disease being spread deliberately especially when there's so many lads who'll clear them for free and in the past whole families where reared on them, and not too long ago either. When I was young we'd have rabbit 3 or 4 times a week. People forget what the rabbit did for these islands.

    Rabbit VHD could be called man made as it originated on a rabbit farm in China and has been spread by man to other parts of the world. The Australian government deliberately introduced VHD 2 a while back and the land owners are now complaining that the predators are now turning to their livestock.

    I'm a long way from you over here on the Irish East coast but yes, that disgusting virus has made the rabbit near extinct. The few pockets that are surviving are attracting lads who should be leaving the survivors to breed again.

And I didn't think that crap went on back then but obviously it did after seeing an add for Squelchers , Irish Water Spaniels X Greyhounds. They mustn't have caught on because I have seen any for sale since.

    Fat Mans right when he says that those assholes deserve it when they get punished for their wreckless actions and then framing themselves by boasting about it but you're right Morton in that when they do get prosecuted it makes the papers and makes us all look like we act like them fools.     That's the thing, they have never been a common breed but have always been one of the gamest, which proves that a breed doesn't need big numbers to survive as workers, it just needs good men behind it.

    I've had 1000s of rats with terriers and some of them were caught in the dirtiest of shit holes and never was I bothered. So why did I just get a big shiver down my spine when I seen photos of someone wearing shorts while ratting ? LOL. f**k that, LOL.

    Brucie got to where he was from talent, not looks. He could sing, dance and act. Proper old school. Not like nowadays where the men just have to be camp and the women just need to get them out. R.I.P. Sir Bruce. Most of us grew up looking at him and mightn't have liked him all the time but we all liked him some of the time.
