Cheers Fireman/Tuffty i suppose being away for a month didnt help i thought it probably best to put all the Canaries back in the aviary with plenty of nestpans out so it made things easy for the chap i had looking after them and i wasnt really holding my breath expecting too much but i thought the Goldies might of produced something as id tried quite hard getting them set up properly but thats nature for you i suppose doesnt always go as we,d like..........i dont like being beaten by these things so as Arnie said...." I,ll be back "

Help. Just Found This Little Fella In The Garden.

If people only gave advice on subjects they have knowledge on half the topics on here would never get off the ground !!.............Long as you make the person aware your not an expert i cant see the problem. -

ooops oh well the intentions were good -
This isn't true. Burley never got a title fight because he was ,black, too good, and his style was not fan friendly, plus for some of his career he was managed by Fritzie Zivic whom he beat but Zivic would not defend his title against him. Burley and Robinson's careers did not overlap by much.In1940 Burley was the no3 welterweight,1941 no5 Robinson no 1. By 1942 Burley was rated no 2 at middleweight while Robinson was still a welter.where he would stay for 9 years. Robinson was a black World Champion,Burley did not get the Robinson fight because he would not take a dive, Burley fought at all

Yes but whats that got to do with Arturo Gatti being the greatest welterweight ever

....Huge difference between the best and who your personal favorite is mate.

To a serten point I with you but not all dogs breed to bite will bite ... Not all guns kill people but why risk leaving one in the hands of a deaf child.

Im no expert but id say that youngster has a better chance if you stick him up high somewhere its parents might find him rather than take him indoors where they wont. -
Stone the crows he,s only got a weekend !!!................and he,s on a budget...........The Aquarium alone for him and his daughter will be 45 sovs standard tickets, doubt if the Dungeon will be any cheaper. Theres plenty to do and see in London for next to nothing Johnnyboy have a cracking time

Thats like going to Middlesbrough and saying theres not many Geordies around. Aye thats cause they're all in Newcastle. Likewise East Londoners are in East London not South London/Kent

You cant base an opinion on just reading a book, comparing the different era,s is such a hard thing to do......ive studied Ray Robinson over the years, more through force than choice as my ol fella idolised him when you talk to the older generation who saw him first hand or you watch his fights on film etc.....and then put everything together for me he was far and away the greatest fighter in history. We,re talking about a man who fought at the very highest level through different weight divisions fighting anything up to every fortnight for over 200 fights !!............Compare that recovery/pr

Nice story as it is......leaving a 13 year old deaf kid home alone with an American Pit Bull Terrier .... not the best of decisions.

Filbert = Nut = Head.........similar to use your loaf i suppose........I thought that was pretty common used dialogue

Personally i think Fury will probably win the fight in the later rounds on size/awkwardness alone...........but it wont surprise me one bit to see Chisora catch him cold in the first round.

Didnt come across Kings Gym did you ?....100 yards from Dalston Junction along Kingsland Road ...... cost a fortune to park ?? you got your car back didnt you, thats called having a result round there !............Its a pretty sore area is right Cheers gnash telling me drive in one breath and then its grand theft auto in the next. Dalston is in East London you wont be going nowhere near there.....the contrast bewteen Dalston and Hammersmith is similar to the contrast between The Bronx and Beverley Hills you,ll be fine over poncey West London

Not sure what part of Wales you are Johnnyboy but The Severn Bridge to Hammersmith is pretty much bang on 2 hours in a car at a sensible time of day straight along the M4/A4 so for ease and time id be tempted to drive, you wont pay bundles for digs round places like Chiswick or over by the Scrubs somewhere then you either have the choice of poncing about on buses/underground etc or alternatively what you will have saved by driving you could black cab it in to see the sights.....Hammersmith to Trafalgar Square i bet is no more than 15 quid in a cab.

Breeding 2 Runts Together
gnasher16 replied to whitefeet4190's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
When inbreeding you need to be reading a pedigree right to left not left to right Brother sister being the tightest breeding possible can still throw virtually unrelated pups by how the genes fall on individuals if there is no common ancestry beyond the parent dogs.....hence you would need to be very unlucky for bad genes to repeat on themself from unrelated ancestry. -
For some perhaps... But are you really saying that people who would gladly fight one on one aren't capable of making the decision to take a hiding when completely outnumbered in favour of a more preferable outcome? We might be creatures of instinct but we're sentient enough to not be ruled by them. A persons fight or flight response is dictated by the situation as much as their general mental attitude. It's not as black and white as you're making out there imo. Fight flight freeze are involuntary reactions, not everybody let's their instincts completely control them. We,re dealing

20 year ago gnash i may well have done,or even been on the piss every night for a week getting up to no good but age takes its toll and i thank my lucky stars im clean and plan on staying that way yeah but what about the dishes ? nah i get you...........clean and sensible over daft and dirty and day of the week
-
Think your missing the point mate.....as big as tough as game as any man may be when the tank is empty your body just dont go anymore.......ive had folk for years take the piss and say to me " why are you still so bothered about keeping in shape ".............in a situation like that all else being equal your gonna have to be just as fit and strong as i am to empty my tank !..........out of fuel is out of fuel its that simple.
-
Come on man you gotta use your filbert when these opportunities arise..........could of moved some ol moose in for the week kept the gaff spick & span, dinner on the table, oral pleasure on tap then f****d her off and back to the world when the weeks up.......silly boy should of planned ahead.

Couldnt agree more lads its the same in any sport....... a 5 year old who can do 100 keepy uppies with a ball dont mean he,s going to be a top footballer but its still impressive to watch.......control of a ball is a tiny aspect of being a footballer as flashy combinations of punches is for a boxer.
-
Fight or flight is an instinct not a decision making process .....The urge to move forward is just as natural in some as the urge to move backwards is in others......just depends how an individual is made.
