  1. Or the " no bad dogs just bad owners " lunatics !
  2. I knew it was only a matter of time before the ol monks got a mention !.............Its always staggered me how otherwise sensible intelligent people buy into all this nonsense i wonder if human beings will ever get bored of walking and start pretending they can fly instead ! Anyway its time i was off to brush up on my left handed 1 inch Death Punch now ive mastered the old Right Palm Heart Explosion Technique
  3. Its like having all the ingredients to cook a blinding meal then expecting it to taste as good as if Gordon Ramsay cooked it !!..............when naive people try to outsmart proven success you have to ask yourself whos interests they really have at heart.
  4. Neems i think you have it pretty much bang on......the beginnings of mma as a sport were to see " what worked " in a real but controlled situation......ok it became too commercial and got toned down with too many rules but i did read somewhere that since the start of the ufc organisation,of all the stoppages be it ko/tko/sub.... strikes accounts for nearly 70% of stoppages compared to around 30 % submissions.......................ok some of these are going to be kicks or whatever but the vast majority are going to be from punches, which in a sport that calls itself mixed martial arts and has no
  5. never thought i would hear that nash shes rough but surely she not that bad Did you see the boat on it ....nah i promised myself i would never rump a bird who frightened me ever again
  6. What a f****n moose id rather watch a Millwall game !
  7. Charming what have i ever done to you Now if we,re talking out there in the world well............aint very gentlemanly but i could quite easily stick my hand down that Deirdrie Barlows throat and rip her f****n larynx out !!
  8. Like any world title its all about timing and the talent thats in the division at the moment it is hard to give him much of a case....that said Darren Barker being an old Repton boy i was over the moon when he won a world title......deep down did i think he was good enough....no not really. On saying all that i still dont think we have seen the best of what Billy Joe has to offfer.
  9. You make some great points and interesting reading im nowhere near the historian you seem to be so i,ll take your word for it regarding some of them names.......i think in a roundabout way we are in agreement........i think ......by rights top fighters today should be better than top fighters of yesterday....but they are not we know that, that doesnt mean they wouldnt beat them in a fight hence when we compare eras there really is no point saying well Klicthko would of beaten Frazier so Klitchko is the best its a silly attitude to take when there are so many factors to take into account. I
  10. My 2 big faults are.....letting go of the pouch......and hitting the forks .......apart from that im great Do or die this aftenoon for me one last try ....Armed with a little bit more information from that video my confidence is high !
  11. Cant say as theres anyone really .....theres a dopey Polish guy used to come on here id quite like to of given a little clip round the side of the head to.....but cant think of anyone ive ever come across on this forum that id actually like to hurt.
  12. The only time ive ever even seen somebody march on with all that kung fu crap he was totally overwhelmed in short order by a very well known local chap of the day standing in a dickie bow outside a club who no longer trained at all...........anyone whos spent time regularly having to draw hands for any reason knows the score, people for generations have been coming out with new killer ideas and techniques the reality is a fit strong aggressive rugged guy who can give and absorb punishment who has a good basic understanding of athletic movement is going to power through virtually anything these
  13. That's cause it dont matter who they are...Mancs have a saying when someone asks them a non relevant question 'bla bla the cat sat on the matt', they soon learnt to listen, if they dont someone tells em to fone the fire brigade. Please more ........come on do another one You'll have to beg a bit louder Len i can't hear ya...... I think you heard me just fine punchy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYDF666wtrc
  14. They were slower smaller and weaker for that very reason.....can you imagine the Robinson/LaMotta series of fights with todays advances in training/nutrition ? They were unbelievable fights and they were men off the streets in physical comparison....................its like comparing Roger Bannister to Seb Coe......was Coe a FASTER runner of course he was......was he a BETTER runner not necessarily. Bannister was a sprinter, Coe was an 800metres specialist, but I see the analogy and its misleading.Track surfaces and different shoes have helped, and men are bigger , but running is relativ
  15. Oh ok nice one theres a few on the walls in there so could be one of many...i,ll keep an eye out cheers

  17. My view is pretty much the same as yours Bryson.....its so hard to gauge a fighter who has never taken a smack on the whiskers the Eubank kid puts me in mind of someone who has spent his life fighting in front of a mirror....but then from what ive heard he,s sparred some good fighters who think highly of him. Billys trainer is having to constantly reel him in regarding Eubank as he knows its a far bigger fight later on with a title on the line than it is now but as you say Billy would take the fight now and thats the mad gypsy thing in him i suppose its just as well his head is on right in as
  18. Great stuff i love reading ol Trimmys posts i never have a clue what he,s on about but its still fun to read him talk about Bob Jeff and Mary walking into the chippy like we should all know who these people are ..... Even on the internet theres folk you just take an instant dislike to but this guys growing on me

  20. I was using one bpr sent me,nothing wrong with it i just couldnt do it plain and simple i tried every which way i must just be a cackhanded c**t !............ Thats a good video though might give it one last go after watching that
  21. Do you think he would have dominated the way he did in any other era than the one he fought in Neems ?.........Good boxer with a great chin and conditioning but lets not underestimate how weak the era and how poor the competition he faced was.
  22. Back then fighters like Jess Willard and Primo Carnera were seen as freaks of nature that folk said had no place in a boxing ring......even in the ,s i remember sparring people like Jimmy Oyebola or Funso Banjo who also were seen as freaks,Oyebola must of been 6 ft 9 or 10 maybe....you could out muscle him and break him up on the inside IF you could get there....but getting past their jab was near impossible.....the difference between them and these lads like Fury/Price etc in todays times is these boys are much bigger naturally stronger men than the guys back then.....Oyebola was only around
  23. Beautiful !.....Call me a big soft twat but i get more inspiration from watching that lad run up and down in a straight line than i could get from any daft Jackie Chan spinning roundhouse caper !.......I dont buy into all the silly demonstrations they do against people being demonstrated on......but that fella seems a good man who understands the true values of sport and how it can enrich our lives......thankyou for posting that Wilf.
  24. All that nice greenery, sunshine, got his nice brown jacket on........its quite a romantic setting probably the equivalent of making love under the stars in pig world.
  25. Yes i do remember him mate lived on a site just off the a127,thought it was a good move for him at the time but seemed to just fade i dont know where he is now...............but this is the point im trying to make Billy is no more sensible than the next nutty gypsy kid ......but with proven and experienced boxing people who have been their and done it around him its common sense that he has a far better chance of success.....................why Furys people didnt try and get him in with Joe Gallagher or one of the other top trainers up there i dont know.......its like anything if you want su
