  1. Maybe in England but in my area theres a team in every village and most of the villages are a mile apart. I still find it hard to believe it carries the same intensity and history that football rivalries do.........certainly on a worldwide scale........maybe im wrong.
  2. 3 0-0 draws and 4 penalty shoot outs out of 62 games, its been a great tournament imo. If im not wrong there only needs to be 3 or more goals in the last 2 remaining matches for this to be the highest scoring tournament in history................" ham bap year "
  3. Very rarely will a link be the weak point of a chain set up.......pay more attention to the connections each end than the chain itself
  4. You still there gnash? Came back Wednesday mate managed to see probably the 2 most remarkable games of the tournament in Belgium/Yanks and the Germany/Brazil game that was good enough couldnt face sticking around for a German/Argie final Wilf you say we was shit.......i thought we did ok.....we played very well against Italy and was unlucky to lose.....didnt really deserve to lose to Uruguay and drew with the group winners i dont think we disgraced ourself with a young inexperienced squad.........personally i never expected us to get out the group the only real surprise was the fa
  5. While i wouldnt disagree with you Zigzag dan,the whole referee/diving/cheating thing is something new to English football......in your/my day following footie through the ,s it was nowhere near on the level it is today......i blame foreigners in our game 100%........ive always thought we are a passionate nation about football but having just come back from Brazil ive realised the passion they have for the game is on a completely different level to ours......i spent a few days with a lovely family in the favelas around Rio these people eat sleep and breathe football, any slight advantage they ca
  6. You,d be surprised how many Brazilians genuinely think that game was a fix.....infact you,d be amazed how many Brazilians think the whole tournament is a fix for Argentina to win it in order to get the president Dilma Rouseff out in the next election !.......Even from before the first ball was kicked we was hearing them go on about it and thinking these people are nuts.........yet as times gone on............... The Brazil/Germany game itself was a perfect example of what a load of old bollocks the " English players have no passion " brigade talk !!..........David Luiz in particular.....ho
  7. You just cant compare Epo to anabolic steroids and lump it all in as one and the same.....like many other people who break the rules in any walk of life GREED is what gets you in the end........and Armstrong was no exception.
  8. Good stuff Mouse hope the lad sticks at it .....got a couple of pals with boys on the books of Leyton Orient ( as my lad was at one point but never made the grade )......another mate has a boy at Arsenals academy.......one of only 6 English kids out of 45 + kids i hasten to add I think the days of promising local youngsters coming through the ranks at big clubs is a thing of the past sadly......its probably the smaller clubs who will see the benefit of local talent over the coming years......the downside of that is the coaching quality at that level just isnt there.
  9. Them Russians had a lot of folk eating out the palm of their hands 10 - 15 years ago, fair play to them they saw a market and exploited it.......plenty of pretty average bulldogs becoming 3/4/5.......10 time winners by chalking rolls off as matches i reckon they sold more video tapes than dogs same thing happened over here for awhile tho, hence the SDJ stopped recognizing english dogs. people sending in spurious reports, making dogs into ch/ gr ch with no merit. helped them get a few stud fee from the pit bull news... Absolutely......only difference being they were video taping
  10. I only just got back from a little football tournament a few days ago otherwise id been all over it........always strikes me how you rarely hear footie fans moaning about rugby yet constantly hear rugby fans slagging footie.......ironic how the big toughies seem to suffer a touch of the " little man " syndrome
  11. Young lad ive taken under my wing lately ( no pun intended ) just getting into pigeons a good chap off here sorting him out some birds he,s built a cracking little kitbox/loft type thing seems a nice hobby for youngsters and olduns alike......certainly seems a lot more to it than id imagined !
  12. f****d if id trust anything made of flesh and bone to " protect " anything of great value to me.

  14. Never really been impressed with all that stuff you could make almost any dog do almost any thing with the right bond and the right connection a pit bull is just as trainable as any other breed its just that due to the nature of the breed they get pushed in the direction of all the action man type stuff i personally think its harder than a lot of folk believe to get a dog to bite a human beings skin training or no training......things like this become a game if the dog really thought it was in any real danger you might see a very different reaction it all looks impressive in a controlled envir
  15. Never understood why people constantly compare rugby and football then come out with stupid statements like " rugby players are real men " !!.......whoever said football was about how macho you are ......to me rugby league seems just about the most boring nonsensical competition in sport.........roll the ball back, run 3 yards, have a bundle, stand up.......repeat...but hey if thats what some folk like then great crack on..........but stop comparing to football all the time its like comparing baseball to cricket just because both use a bat !
  16. Likewise ive spent a few bob over the years following England at home and abroad......which is why like me you must know that its never England fans who expect us to win things....the fans ive spoken to up and down the country who support big premier league clubs or little lower league/non league teams have always been a pretty realistic bunch.......of course we all like to think and hope we will do well thats what being a fan is about........but what seperates England from other nations is we are the only footballing nation who despise our own players.......countries like Italy/Brazil/Germans
  17. Dont forget the little cage & aviary birds .......best section on here in my opinion.
  18. The break will probably do you good Taz....re-energise the batteries so to speak.......i think when animal husbandry stops being enjoyable and becomes a chore its normally time for a break......and having done everything you,ve wanted to do maybe the motivations not there...... You are the best birdman i know, not that i know more than a handful but you might find you just cant do things by halves some folk are just born to do what they do and when a man has a serving attitude like you do people are drawn to you.................and naturally your birds also. Enjoy your cutting down per
  19. The whole devoted to my family thing gets a bit tiresome......but he comes across as an allround good egg who appreciates how lucky he has been.......good program i thought certainly better than most of the boring shit they put on.
  20. Brian Buchanan had something like a 25/26 inch waist but you are probably thinking of either Sergio Oliva or Serge Nubret........its a quality lacking in todays times and something that for me would keep Dorian out of greatest ever debates......but then era is important and a real tight waistline is just not as important in todays era.
  21. Seemed to have a way of making stuff that wasnt particularly funny into something funny........should just be getting warmed up at 56,terrible shame.
  22. He still bench press your scrawny little arse wi one hand... he deff very strong bloke, ok he used few jabs to help get his size. But he still lift some good weights in training , I watched him in pumping iron vid , and think held record in his country for lifting some heavy stones or something like that lol . but think it fooked him up in later life with heart probs what he got now . In my opinion Arnold was a near perfect specimen genetically and without doubt the greatest bodybuilder in history. Even though Lee Haney and Ronnie Coleman won more Sandows? In my opi

  24. Why not just keep your nose out of other peoples business and keep walking.
  25. Why does a person need to know that a bike is behind them ?..................If ringing a bell doesnt mean " get out the way " why ring it ?
