Is that what it was i see...............um bongo ...........i probably wasnt paying enough attention i just knew it was wet !!
  3. I started off watching it through my fingers but ended up in hysterics i thought it was great ........Its too late in the day to be getting annoyed at such people if you still keep this kind of dog then just carry on and keep your nut down.............if you dont then laugh your bollocks off like the rest of us That blondie sort " the b*****ds who bred these dogs to do this "...........the dogs YOU decided to keep 3 of !! The bad boys off the estate " he is my front line "............the humiliation of a fit young man needing a dog for protection ! The old bird who needed the dentist
  4. 3rd place thats no good you,ve got to win these things you need better technique .....next time make sure you carry her piggy back style none of that on the shoulders lark you want to be getting your bodyweight forward......and make sure next time you put the mrs on a strict diet for at least 12 weeks beforehand.....salads only......oh and more appropriate clothing next time ....if your gonna be in it then win it.
  5. Speak with a reasonably succesful trainer of a certain age who has trained fighters through the generations and ask them if fighters today are physically fitter......all else being equal ( skills/ability etc ) .....The thing we do when comparing like this is we look at the highest level to compare......but if you take the average journeyman pro of today and compare fitness levels to the average journeyman pro of even only 30 years ago it is like chalk and cheese.......apart from the obvious nutrition side of things, think of things like sponsorship......years ago pro fighters were not sponsor
  6. Completely agree with this......its the main thing wrong in the sport in my opinion..... " creating an image " is becoming almost as popular as fighting itself.......we are sponsoring a promising young lad at the moment as he was spending longer running round trying to create an image to make him popular than he was spending time in the gym.....its a terrible situation for young prospects to be in where having talent is not enough....................The Eubank kid has a famous surname to kick start his career, the Olympians have a medal to kick start theres......................yet dedicated pr
  7. But when was boxing any different ?.......when the mafia were dictating who became champions and what rounds they went down in did we think one day people would be calling them the good old days !!......Today you have Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn in uk......in my day you had Terry Lawless/Mickey Duff/Mike Barrat/Jarvis Astaire/Harry Levene and thats just in London...............Are Golden Boy any different to Arum or Don King ? Folk talk like boxing never used to be about money the amount of belts are fairly recent aren't they? If there was just one belt per weight division of any value
  8. But to judge and compare fitness alone you have to make everything else equal......no Hatton would not of stood a chance with either of those gents.....that doesnt mean he wasnt at a higher physical peak of conditioning though.

  10. Good shout that......Foreman v Lyle takes some beating at heavyweight as well.
  11. Made the big mistake of letting ego get in the way of sense.......now you know why a figher has his corner count for him and gets up on 8
  12. Cant say as i watched much of it but seemed to be well organised and well supported.....well in the Jocks

That was the only music ive ever seen live must of been either 91 or 92 at Finsbury Park i remember that Morrisey geezer was on first he wrapped himself in a union jack and got pelted with coins and coke cans it was quite funny....not my cuppa tea all that but got talked into it that day.......cant beat a bit of Madness though
  14. Tuffty your close by me you could of come and taken whatever you liked from my youngsters if breeding had gone to plan but i only produced 4 chicks all season and my mate took them to start him off......i,ll be paying more attention next time round so if you,re still needing some then your welcome to help yourself. Good that you,ve taken the plunge again anyway
  15. Theres a very interesting documentary the yanks did on the fight and what was going through each fighters mind second by second......i cant remember what its called now but if you can find it somewhere its a really great watch. For the sheer magnitude of the event its the greatest fight ive seen in my lifetime.......still prefer the Reg Gutteridge commentary though
  16. Dont hold back mate ..........Harsh as you word things......i agree with pretty much all of it .............apart from the last line.
  17. Only at heavyweight in my opinion. I'd say definitely at heavy, but also to varying degrees at every weight. Outside of heavy modern fighters on top of that have much better speed and conditioning. You use Calzaghe as an example but even a fighter like Hatton would have had an unheard of work rate. Which of Wlad's challengers do you think had better speed and conditioning than say Ali's challengers? Do you think Hatton's work rate is higher than Henry Armstrong's ,[ retired in1945,] or Beau Jacks,[ retired in 1955?] And those guys were fighting an extra 3 rounds. Armstrong

  19. I dont like cricket for a thousand and one reasons.............so guess what......i dont watch or follow it.......it really is that simple. The numbers game tells its own story regarding popularity....that doesnt mean YOU have to like it.
  20. For folk who have been around the game a while or even had an interest for long enough these things are really not that difficult to see.................sadly like any other walk of life you get people who have 5 minutes experience and become instant experts, the Fury scenario being the perfect example.
  21. Max mma is small compared to boxing and always will be..........name me an international superstar from the world of mma anywhere near on par with Floyd Mayweather ?.....name me an mma fighter earning anywhere near the money Mayweather earns.....mma can,t break into mainstream tv i actually think its reached its peak and is on the slide.................the other month Mayweather v Canello grossed 200 mill......Floyd Mayweather has earned 400 mill IN THE RING.......mma,s highest earner is i believe BJ Penn who earned 20 mill in the ring.......this money comes from somewhere....its self explanna
  22. Stone the crows who gives a f**k if we havent got our own personalised song to sing before a sporting occasion id rather win the war than the singsong before hand !
  23. Its no different to what it ever was Max.......why do you want to see Joshua fighting top opponents already he,s a 4 fight novice !.................young fighters records were always padded out with learning fights its nothing new................what is new is these young prospects are now in the public spotlight from day 1. Nigel Benn never took a punch for the first 17/18 fights of his career !.....Neither did Mike Tyson.........but then neither of them were Olympians......nobody has a problem with young pros getting established and then making their way in the game.....what i have a pro
  24. I meant more in terms of selling a fighter to the public..................an Olympic gold is almost as important as a world title these days when you look at the career of Harrison as an example.
