Router and Forstner bit and away you go. Trouble is the wooden ones are not selling. Plastic ones are, but there again not that many. Just have a look at the ones that have sold here. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=e-cigs+stands&_in_kw=1&_ex_kw=&_sacat=0&LH_Complete=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&LH_Auction=1&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=200&_fpos=&LH_SubLocation=1&_sargn=-1%26saslc%3D0&_fsradio2=%26LH_LocatedIn%3D1&_salic=3&_saact=3&LH_SALE_CURRENCY=0&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=50 TC

I had to look up mitochondrial to see what it actually does in the body. Apparently it produces food for other cells. http://www.biology-online.org/dictionary/Mitochondria looking at it like that if you had a big strong muscular dog and a small scrawny bitch it would be the bitches mtDNA that the pups would inherit? So would that make the likelihood of the pups being as large and as muscular as the father less likely? Another factor is that I think I read somewhere that a greyhound uses its muscles differently to other dogs and as the mtDNA makes the food for the cells in these muscles a

I have never wanted to keep birds, and truth be told still don't. But I just love looking at the photos, and getting the passion that you feel about the birds. It comes across with you guys when you post, how even though these birds are captive bred you try and give them as natural a life as possible. TC

Half the fun is finding what depth the fish are feeding at. As far as the bite indicators go I have never found the need, that is not to say that they would not perhaps have helped on occasions, just that I never felt the need. The way I look at it is, everyone goes fishing trying to catch fish. I am not moralising here just stating facts, everyone has a different motive and ethics. It all depends what your outlook is, if you have paid say £50 to fish a put and take lake that holds big fish some might feel cheated if the did not catch a big fish, others may well feel that £50 is not bad f

You had already quoted it on a previous post, yet you found necessary to quote it again WTFF. If it stops half a page of quotes just for a few lines of text then I think it does add to the thread. BTW you are missing a ] tag on your quote that is how it is not showing properly. TC

An old acquaintance of mine had been a naughty boy, he lived in the back of beyond with just a single track leading to the house. He kept a GSD on a chain by the gate and had no trouble with unwanted visitors. However, the day the plod decided he warranted a visit they could not get past the dog. So they called in the dog handler to deal with the dog, he took one look at the snarling slightly mental GSD, walked back to his van pulled out a fire extinguisher walked up to the dog and as the dog lunged at him he just squirted the fire extinguisher right in the dogs face, the dog immediately ran b

The problem with the world today is no one is allowed to die any more, to make way for the next generation. That is the natural order. We are living longer because of the advances in medicine. Diseases that would have killed 50 years ago are not classed as life threatening any more. The advances in medicine has caused an upset in the natural life cycle. The way I look at it is, I have raised my family done my job, it's now their turn. Once they have raised theirs, it is their children's turn to do the same. To quote the song "The Circle Of Life". As hunters we should be in tune with th

Chippys? Mathmaticians? Help! My Brain's Just Imploded ....!
Tiercel replied to Outlaw Pete's topic in General Talk
Pete there are many ways you can do it. Here are just two of them that will keep the 12 " and 14" measurements. Either cut off 2" of the end of the board as in the red measurements or cut another angle as the blue measurements. TC -
I agree they are the best eating fish of the lot, far better than salmon, as for fighting though I would say a grey mullet Lb for Lb would take some beating. There used to be a power station local that drew in cooling water from the estuary, it would also draw in whitebait at the same time. When the water was expelled back into the estuary the whitebait would come out cooked and the mullet would feed on these. We used to fish for them with bits of silver foil tied to hooks and by Christ would they go when you hooked them on a fly rod. TC

Is anyone else on the NSAI Naproxen? It is absolutely brilliant for arthritis. Before I started taking it I had not had a full nights sleep in about 20 years. Now I can turn over in the night without getting the shooting pains in my neck and shoulders. TC

When it was flat calm as you describe we used to use fullers earth and fairy liquid mixed it would be just enough to get the leader in the surface film and a dab of Musclin about an inch from the fly. TC

I am in my 60th year and spent the afternoon chopping logs for my daughter, ( those chopping mauls make the job easy.) Paying for it now though, I can hardly raise my glass to my mouth, but I will keep trying. As long as there is a will there is a way. Oh and Hot Meat I was bald at 21, so that's not an excuse Truth is it's just my legs don't work any more, can't walk 100yards without stopping for a rest, it's a real pain when the spirit is willing but the body leaves you down. Hard to come to terms with. TC
