Is she the type of bitch to accept 6 months test or is she likely to be a nightmare socks?
-
You forgot to mention that where you go you don't squeak them you rustle them with a Maccy D or KFC wrapper.

Ive got to disagree with you there I had a bull x around me for years and it done everything a lurcher can do I've put the pics up here before would catch roe and hares retrieve anything small live without a mark retrieve stuff from water mark and catch bolted rabbits hit a hedge ratting digging a fox didn't last long with it at all If a run went over a minute he'd start to fade slightly but 5 mins rest he was ready to go again I miss the dog and would swap the lurcher I have now to have that dog from a pup again Also there's a bull x down here killing hares regular it's best is 17 in a night

That's what I was on about proper bull crosses owned by men who know how to condition them right.
-
Yes I did.She was bred out of my old bitch who was even better and could hold her own with any all round lurcher.
-
I know your a bull fan my friend so I'd be very interested in your viewpoint as yours is one of the opinions I enjoy reading most on here ......how do you see the bull xs place in the hunting theatre? I must add though that I really like a dash of bull in a dog, I like that edge it brings to the party , and I think it tidies up the hybrid both mentally and physically Although I could probably never justify the ownership of a sole bull x greyhound , I do appreciate their capabilities I simply see bull crosses no different than any other lurcher cross and have always disliked the fact that th

The reason why nuggets, standing on street corners, like the breed is because they look in condition when they are not in condition. They are slow because they are slow and making excuses up for their lack of pace is another excuse for an excuse, the only thing that makes a bull x run faster is the other percentages in the breeding, fit or otherwise. You've obviously never seen a well bred bull cross in proper condition run if you think they are all slow.Yes some of the big poorly bred monstrosities knocking about are complete shirt but no worse than a poorly bred example of any cross.
-
One of the reasons a lot of bull crosses look slow and clumsy is because they need to be run at the correct weight and condition and a lot of bull cross owners would struggle to condition their hair.

Is a backwards pick like a left handed screwdriver ? haha Prick

I love a decent bull bred lurcher. Its 90% of the backward picks that own them I can't be around.

f**king Nookie Bear????

Bang on mate.If you are truly feeding your dog a good mixed balanced diet and giving it the correct amount of exercise and rest plus somewhere warm dry and clean to live it won't need any special powders or potions.

There ain't even that many lads working terriers now in kent as there was that used to turn up every month yrs ago.
-
I had it when it came out Must be at least 15yrs ago.Wasnt something I'd bother watching again even if I had it.Kent had a brilliant area when I first got into terriers I remember 20/30 lads meeting up once a month and every one of them dug with their terriers.I bet half a dozen people have tried to start it up again over the years but it's never been the same.

Ready Made Line Or Started From Nothing
downsouth replied to workworkwork's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
I was very lucky that when I started in terriers as a lad still at school one of my good mates had an uncle that lived with them who's dogs all either came from or were bred from dogs he got from Ken Gould and I got my first ones from him. -
You really are a sick man.Dont tar me with the same brush as yourself.
-
I had a bitch that you could tell was coming in season 2 weeks before as she'd crawl out her kennel on her belly leaving a trail of piss behind her.She would then be pathetic for the next 3months then I'd go out one morning and she'd bounce out of her kennel and sprint round the garden like a nutter and wouldn't give a shirt about anything.Luckily she only came in once a year in early summer.
