I heard it years ago from jp and I was with someone just a couple of weeks ago and jp was telling them the same thing on the phonei no Who you was with a couple of weeks ago And he did not say anything about that so wind your neck in down south Beetlejuice????Yes he did and he told me the same thing a couple of years back.Whats the big deal.
So what if he was out of a border. If I had a dog working as well as he apparently did I'd be trying to track down that border to stick on my other bitches.
ALL dogs miss foxes unless you own some super dog if so take me out I'd like to see it runof coarse they do but a dog that's waiting for a strike where it won't get bitten will miss far more.
He looks more racy than most first crosses IMO.Thing is how many first crosses are bred out of the right type of bulldogs and also how many ones condition them correctly so they can run.
A half cross can stand around but it can run too if needed too.And how much fire do they need to kill something half their size or less.Depends on how much work is put in front of it.And how much explosive power is needed.
Maybe the dog is out tomorow and the day after.
No good working a sore dog.
so is a reverse 3/4 not going to get bitten then or sore then?I've owned worked and seen plenty of other good bull lurcher work over the years.Ive also owned worked and seen other well bred bulldogs work over the years and one thing I've noticed is that the bull crosses normally have better finish
Not nit picking. If your half cross is doing what a half cross should breeding it back to a bulldog is taking a step backwards.Well that's all down on what job they are doing wether it's a step back or not.I can't see what a reverse 3/4 could do as good as a GOOD 1/2 cross. For starters they are going to lack pace and for anyone who reckons that they have 3/4 bulls catching foxes single handed you must have slow foxes where you hunt. Also I don't believe that a reverse 3/4 will have the finish that a GOOD half cross will.

Well not really, a lad near me has a 3/4 bull and it retrieves foxes.
Can't say anybody has really had an influence or an impact on me regarding terriers when I was growing up in fact most of the older fellas from my area when I was a youth were f**king useless regarding dogs in general. The bloke I got my first terriers from had some very good dogs that were very well bred but that was more testiment as to how good the dogs really were rather than his ability as a dog man. Over the years I've also met a fair few of the so called big names of the game and more often than not was unimpressed and sometimes quite disappointed.
Tried most of the expensive ones Le chameau, lowa, meindle and now on my second pair of Altberg Defenders. £85 off eBay Comfy dry and take plenty of stick.
