You took your time Baw....dissapointed in you.
  2. Someone must know? Staff 001a.jpg Staff Smooth Black 001a.jpg Patterdale? I know everything there is to know about the bottom terrier........it was a bitch too. She had not been bitten when the photo was taken, but she had been worked.Only a small bitch of some 15-16 lb's at a guess and no bull in her for a long way back.
  3. I don't want to get involved in personalities, but I wouldn't have wanted to be the guys trying to ferret rabbits in summer, with a noisy film crew trudging about all over the shop. It sounds like a difficult task. They didn't do us any harm, and if it gets one young kid interested in ferreting and the great outdoors then good luck to them. There's not enough countrysports on TV, and the modest crumbs that there is gets slagged. Yes, they weren't perfect, but maybe you or I wouldn't have been either if it had have been us in their shoes. I remember back to the days when there was no Sky t
  4. Very well done photos them...
  5. I don't think anyone's saying that matey, i always think, 'What are brains?' Do brains make a dog swim out forty yards into a choppy reservoir to retrieve a shot Mallard? Do brains catch that third hare of the morning, a morning when the ground's so bottomless it's like porridge and that dog had better be in it for the long haul. Do brains matter when the dogs on the 15th, 20th, 25th rabbit of the night? Do brains matter when you're in a wood and a keeper's hilux is coming bouncing along down the track, you click your fingers and both you and your canine fall to the floor as one, keepi
  6. Very good! Run some on daytime tackle and the jacking happens all the more quickly IMO...... I've seen it a few times over the years with, so-called, 'intelligent dogs'....the more they think they can't catch, the less they try and the less they catch, so they know they were right. No point in trying on those it 'knows' it cannot catch.. Vicious circle.
  7. Around £2 billion pounds worth of group losses, probably ! A real anti organisation too!!

Well, he's obviously been beaten by the software...poor lad. Come on Baw, don't get beaten. The coursing world needs you...
  9. No need to watermark them with a copyright matey.........I can't see anyone stealing them ! :D :D :D
  10. Hounds tails don't curl right over their backs.......Those pig-tailed tails will attract injury when working proper cover. IMO
  11. I remember when those foam headed buzzers first became popular, polystyrene ball wrapped in a bit of the wife's tights, then tying them at different angles to the hook to get the hook to lay at different positions in the water. Ooh those were the days, we would try anything. TC I've caught LOADS of trout with those poly buzzers, times when they wouldn't take anything else but them. Even had a few last summer on them. These the same as the CDC Emergers JD? I remember when those foam headed buzzers first became popular, polystyrene ball wrapped in a bit of the wife's tig
  12. Good selection. Tie them yourself? Yes mate, I only use flies I've tied myself.

  14. Some of mine. I like to fish a slim buzzer under a foam headed buzzer.
  15. 7D is what I use. I have two. IMO there is NO better camera for action hunting shots. To get them that little bit blurred you can always smear vaseline on the lens.
  16. Those traps are dangerous. Very. They have no place in the UK countryside. p.s, yes they do a 280.
  17. Why not sign and date the inside cover, would make it all interesting,.....
  18. They are not easy to get on the sticks, the young seem to be prone to dying from cocxy.......Males have to be colour fed or they never seem to get close to the colours of the wild males.....beauty bird though....
  19. I've spent over 20 years on them, they are hard to get and i don't know of anyone who has cracked it. To get good lamping pics you need lots of dedication, you have to lug about a heavy lump of gear too. I use a bar with the camera, lamp and 2 external flashes mounted to it. The camera needs to be set on manual focus with a high F rating. The flashes have to have a low output too. This is to freeze action. The more powerful the flash the slower the speed it fires, meaning you'll get alot of blur. I have a large collection now, but it has taken me a long, long time and decades of frustration.
  20. fair enough.....just thought the "while you can" quote was his death knell....... It was.....
