You can discount any gas mate as you would be first to know about it on breakthrough .Did you examine dog at all ,what colour were the gums .Sorry to be insensitive but was you who brought this to our attention .IMO your dog died from heart attack due to heat exhaustion.RIP Russell.Hazard of working a dog this time of year . -

Line Breeding Calculator
Squirrel_Basher replied to Zilverhaze's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
From reading that you would need to breed huge amount to arrive at the recommended % related to achieve results .This needs to be taken in context as regards terrier breeding on a small scale and not a nationwide pedigree .Cousin to cousin would be a rare mating given most only breed to satisfy a few needs .All lines i know of far exceed whats written here as exceptable with no detrimental results . -

Theres a place near me on a farm called the copse ,as you imagine a small wood .Within there is an earth that for years we were told to respect .The Beaufort hunt terriermen avoided it ,from NS to TB and few between but it always held an attraction for me .When my mate got the job as shepherd on the place foxes were looked on as a menace so we did our best around the surrounding small earths with a lot of successs but the day came when we blanked early on and it was to this undiggable place we went .Huge piles of sand at the entrances were a bit daunting ,a few tunnels went straight down but i -
Seen some sickened faces too when the buggers wont bolt in a large stack and the dogs in the middle

Cant help think you lads are making your fishing very complicated .White crumb, maggots and sweetcorn .live maggots keep them searching .Fish brandlings on the hook .Had several bags in excess of 300lb and the match record on our local lake of 197lb .The aniseed is the draw in the conditioner ,not the seed lol.Banned on most waters too .Its all about getting their heads down in the mud competing and live maggots are the only thing that ive found they stay to search for .I clip up with a big feeder on the day ,10 casts no hook ,feeder filled with maggots and groundbait .You need competition in a

The Biggest Mistake Youv Made When Stalking
Squirrel_Basher replied to nastybilly's topic in Deer Stalking & Management
Biggest mistake was agreeing to carry two decent roe bucks in a sack that Martin shot on a piece of my ground ,roughly mile and a half .Lessen learned never to let bravado take over reason . Next was the full piruet on a barbed wire fence with rifle and all, again with Martin Taking a leak from a high seat when a gold medal strolls by . Head shooting a doe that i jaw shot and ran off over neighbouring land years ago with dog following only to return ,deer lost . -
Got to go back soon

Could of been worse mate ,a tick from you know where

How did this go? -
Seen plenty back in the day Fatman that would work one but not the other, because sounders or not if they got charged they did not want to know about it.Have a good black dog here at the present time he takes no prisoners but he has an annoying fault when he kills something he starts trying to pull it out,its starting to do my head in. Would suit someone whos shovel shy though mate .Does annoy when youve a dig on and hes backing out with it lol.

Ones own mortality gets more evident by the year ,what id give to be 25 again with what i had in the yard 5 year ago but then again with the same head on my shoulders i have now so i didnt paralize one of the best bitches i ever bred . Still digging but tend to step aside if a young un wants to show off lol.
