  1. I've known of two dogs that fitted and neither ever recovered from a massive fit that the vet said shut down respiratory. Do the right thing mate

  3. Donator11,064 postsLocation:Midlands Posted Yesterday, 11:35 PM My brindle bitch is 3 in June and has only had one season at 14 months old. My pup is 1 in a fortnight and hasn't come in season yet. Hopefully I've dropped lucky. My old bitch was every 6 months like clockwork. Was a right pain in the arse. quote name="Gaz_1989" post="4118521" timestamp="1451608056"] Who's told you that?
  4. Trouble is mate by taking a pup you have been part of the problem but i guess you didnt know .Flip side is she may be a first class bitch but is now too spent to show it .What did you pay out of interest ,will say it all .
  5. Bitches cycles can vary a lot from one bitch to another and lurchers are especially known for having odd seasons. I wish you'd come tell this bulldog bitch of mine she should come in season regularly every 6 or 12 months, would make my life a lot easier if I didn't have to guess when she was going to have her season Joe I'd get her checked out at the vet. If she isn't due in season or just had one any discharge from her vulva is a possible sign of infection, especially if there's a smell to it. Better to be safe than sorry Exactly mate ,better put than i did and yes get her checked
  6. Ffs ,bitches are either six monthly or yearly ,no matter the breed .Some real numties in the game .
  7. Some not all bitches will come in heat twice a year ,six monthly ,whilst others are yearly .Early starters are usually six monthlies but no guarrantee.
  8. Oh joy .Get some of that tick repellant off net Matt .
  9. Whack a tube of foam in it . Done same for 18 months on my old kodiak.
  10. Size is irrelevant if you are picking ,choosing earths i guess but the reverse is true if your dogs takes it all its stride .Why keep specials when one will do but then again im not out with hounds just working whats comes along .
  11. So to sum up then it makes no difference either way ,what a happy ending to the thread .Out tommorrow to try a few holes with nothing tied up ,just the sound of one below ,bliss .
  12. Stick up a seat on the edge of the other bit and make it a safe shot .
  13. Sorry mate but they are worlds apart really .Snipe will never raise their heads on the lamp plus size difference is distinctive even jack snipe .
  14. Mate of mine shot one out the air free hand with an airifle at night and a lurcher of mine took two one night as well as a mallard duck from a cut maize field that was waterlogged. If you keep the lamp on them ,they fly extremely far and high not getting blown like most birds .We used to bag loads out with the .22 but that phase has gone .Just starting seeing numbers here ,late though. On a 'cock shoot boxing day which im looking forward to.
  15. Or gift him to a lad that knows what hes doing .Price tag dosnt stop a messer getting hold .
  16. For historical purposes only ,the way to do it IMO was to pull skin forward towards body and place your thumb width as a guide as to what to leave on .No need for dips or cleaner as bitch kept them clean
  17. Do you remember the pm you sent me 3 years ago ?
  18. This is f***ing ace ,proper bitch fest but please answer my question WM .If a can remember every single name of every dog ive ever bred or had by me im sure you can come up with a few of the dogs direct from Brian you got started .
