Keith .....you have admitted you never pts which to me speaks volumes about the way you and your clique regard the working abilities of your wards but only my opinion .Instead of throwing it all back ,blaming egos and whatever ,look at the bigger picture within your chosen breed and ask yourself if would better without the price tag .     The reason the plummer is only a bushing rat dog is the money .There are very few lads breeding these for work even though they claim to .First and foremost is the coin .Mr plummer on here states he would reposses a dog after sold lol if it didnt suit ,not from any lads i know he wouldnt ,dog would be pts.The act of giving the dog however is another ball game altogether and one thats been done on here many times before .When moneys involved work slips away seen it time after time as no dog is ever culled ,cost too much in the first place and will re-enter the breeding side at some point there

    I guess ive sort of grown up with dog aggression and it never really bothered me but then again i know how to kirb it .How lads are able to keep more than one dog on the premise is however beyond me .This is one of the reasons im very particular who has one as they aint to everyones cup of tea tbh.

    For Neil ,not the whole bag but 900 odd .The rest were from another little shed away from theses so rats not brought over .

    From memory we had 14 Neil ,maybe a few more .ill dig out a pic if i can.We had 150 odd yesterday .Couple of other lads off here there as well.Two sheds ,first was soaking wet with a drinker down and only 30 odd caught with a few mice .Dispelled the mith that mice wont live with rats as there were a fair few .

    Our local tip used to be the place to shoot with an airgun ,through the mesh fence on land we had permission on .The dump would never allow hunters on .Use to lamp the place for foxes as you say and would guarrantee at least one for the lurcher but dodgey running tbh .Another place we did was never heaving but enough for a visit on the way back from somewhere .The walls to the piggery were 9 inch hollow blocks uncapped at the top and only 4 foot high .The rats lived in these pots ,that was until we tipped buckets of water down them at night .50 was a cracking haul from there .One night we turn

    Reality check mate .Unless your into hunting with terriers ie ratting or the occasional dig then try something else as it will no doubt end in another one on preloved totally messed up in the head or a cat killer .Regular work not walks keeps them sane in my experience .

    We used to do a pig farm nearby and boy were there rats ,hundreds.Part of it was farrowing crates and small piglets so we had to be sure all dogs were broke to stock as we invited many lads to that spot .The weaner crates were blockwork with holes smashed out the back for them to use the runs .We fitted drop doors to these on strings opperated at the end of each row and killed literally hundreds per week.The farmer was a lazy type who hardly ever scraped the passage ways and we waded ankle deep through the shit to get to the spots with rats hoping across and terriers filthy in seconds .Farmer

    Wm Maybe im wrong but you come across as trying very hard for acceptance whereas most of us dont give a shit what the rest of the world thinks .If i had a plummer that went id sure as hell keep it quiet not try to convince the whole world via a staged pic .

    sorry to hear all this WM Sorry to hear that also mate ,life is too short for quarrels .Forget the past ,clean slate and all that . Good to see pics up also .The dogs are what we are about no matter how we choose to work them . I too lost my father when the slanging was at its worst ,no excuse just saying .

    Can i book the whole next litter .Just looking at the last and if made into a rug would match our marble tiles perfectly . Wondered when you be back on but of course it coincided with a litter lol ,how predictable .Mr Plummer would of been so proud of his love child .

    When something bad does happen it tends to enlighten your desire for a longer life ,like having best part of 5 tons of sand on your back whilst stupidly tunelling into a vertical sand face .Luckily i wasnt alone or that would of been my grave . Hats off to anyone hunting hounds alone but IMO and only my opinion to dig alone is fool hardy .
