Any killing usually stops by week two and in this day and age loses are part of the game .Plenty of cover for birds to run to and plenty of feeders for them to return to .Tawnies were always the menace on our shoot ,taking birds until they were too big to carry .The buzzard sometimes gets the blame for feeding off the remains of owl kills as owls seem only to eat the neck and back of the poult .Kites the same .No experience of gos here luckily but sparrow hawks can be bad around partridge rearing pens .Rearing pens attract wild birds that seem to get pegged against the sides very easily .

Nothing to do with lines and everything to do with what dogs are put over which bitches .Ive written on here for years to use a good stud that is producing consistently over many bitches .Im a firm believer that a good potent dog can maintain a line but others believe anything bred to anything is good enough ,You cannot put a stamp on a line without breeding to any one dog that covers several bitches whereas a bitch will only have max of 3 litters in her life ,usually two .If 75% of a litter in a line arnt working well you are doing something wrong imo .
.
If they are the old 3 inch brick mate don’t get rid for free ,they are worth something ,Take them to your local reclamation place .You should get between 45 /50 p a brick .
There has been dumping here in the past without a doubt but the organic chicken farms don’t half pull them from far and wide .I could shoot a fox every night of the year on the one I do .I tend to have decent nights when the numbers are there though as it’s not on my doorstep .
Heres a few pics for you FH ,just to show what your missing lol.
Despite the govs call to stay at home I’d say they are happy we are flouting the rules ,reason being slow herd immunity .
You have to be blind to not notice this happening all around us .
One thing I steered away from was bad jaw .I hate it and been very lucky I havnt bred anything that had it .
The Stevens stuff I amalgamated would not have happened had it had any recent trace of undershot jaws .
I think some lads are only too happy it works and that looks take a back seat .You can have both and I’d say there are more smart looking workers about at this point in time than ever before .Not seen an undershot dog in years thankfully .
On the bright side ,C19 seems to be affecting inner cities as predicted .
As per thread title ,what to learn from C19 ,is not to waste a f***ing second .This stay at home not for me and I find my dog walks taking nearly all day
