  1. Same here Goat, you can only kill them once...
  2. They are very good tools, me and my mate used one last week on a place that is like digging dolomite and it cut right through it.
  3. Is there a new one, as in recent or do you mean the red box that's been out a couple of years?
  4. Wanting out is different to shying from the shovel. Dogs that want out are usually shit bags.
  5. Are you making sure it gets a good long charge when you do charge it? If you only charge it for an hour here and there the battery will drain quicker. Same as a mobile phone or a battery on a lamp.
  6. I think pegging pups out on digs is good experience, getting them used to the smells and sounds, aswell as getting used to seeing the shovel. Sounds daft but I've seen a few different young dogs that would work well and then shy away from the shovel once you broke through. Good luck with your pup.
  7. Yes, I'll send you some later on, at work at the minute.
  8. He looks it but wasn't to be fair, was about 13-14" and easily spannable. That's when they were both young.
  9. Mine has the nut welded to the shaft and bolt welded to the shovel end, and then a loose nut on the bolt to tighten against the welded nut to keep it from coming loose and it works a treat.
  10. Get a shovel, go to a local fabricator/welder and tell them what you want and they'll do it. That's what I did and can't fault mine.
  11. Nice result, onwards and upwards for the young bitch.
  12. No, mostly the one's down from his sister.
  13. To be fair I've seen quite a lot of dogs from this line and not one of them was timid in any way.
  14. There's two other recent threads about this same line.
  15. Didn't think you did, I didn't think henry was bred from.
  16. Sorry to hear that, my old mate and digging buddy died suddenly aged only 45 two years ago, it's a terrible thing to go through.
  17. I always whinged about the old bellman box for making noise but I actually prefer it to the new one that's silent. And I can't get away with the funny noise the barryvox's make, sounds like a submarine!
  18. I think a good dog 'spewing' is all about the dog's confidence. Seen it a couple of times now and both times with a lay off and a gentle easing back into the game the dogs were back doing what they did best. Fair enough a dog that is shite or very poor from the start I'd agree they are the 'culls'. But a dog that has had numerous digs and knows the game inside out, I find it very difficult to believe that the dog would just totally throw the towel in. Either the dogs failed in a big spot and not been dug successfully or has been worked sore who knows, but something has sickened it and building
  19. Good luck, difficult to get any land in this area, too many wannabe pikeys ruining the job.
