  1. My youngster for the coming season, 13 months old now so will be perfect age come September. He's marking earths and will go if I let him so with any luck he'll follow his bloodline and work well.
  2. That's it, it's difficult to get your hopes up. Sometimes the ones that make the most noise at the hole are the ones that are the cowards, and vice versa.
  3. If you bought the dog then it's to do with as you please surely? When dogs are given between friends then I fully agree that the breeder should have a say in future matings etc but when they've sold you a dog it's a different ball game IMO.
  4. Sounds like a nightmare situation mate.
  5. Mine are fine in the winter, but that's probably because they can channel their attention elsewhere. Also what I think a lot of people miss is that during the winters the dogs are usually penned up or out with you, whereas with the better weather in the summer they spend a lot more time in each others company lounging in the garden etc.
  6. Don't have a clue but it's a thick one.
  7. Good pic, looks like he's seen a terrier or two.
  8. Found some fox cubs whilst walking in some sheep country today, mores the pity the farmer won't give us permission in the winter so he can kiss our arse if he thinks we'll do him a favour this time of the year.
  9. I started with a shovel and a thick bolt and 2 nuts, the shovel was cut in half, one nut was welded to the shovel head side and rounded so it wasn't hexagonal. The bolt had the head of it cut off and the thread was then welded onto the handle side of the shovel. The spare nut was then screwed onto the welded thread and once the thread is screwed into the welded nut then the loose nut is tightened against it. Hope that make sense.
  10. Just be sure that it's a good weld otherwise it'll snap with any force applied. I get mine done off the local council blacksmith, as the company I work for contracts for the council, so I imagine he has good gear to use in the first place. Also you don't need to sneak about with a two piece as I've told you already...
  11. LOL, the thread is a nut that is welded on and rounded off around the edges mate.
  12. Nice set up that Steve, and Dillydog you've a yard of terriers to be proud of mate...
  13. Good to hear you have related stuff to carry on. Good luck.
  14. He can't be that bad Goat... , get him to do you one I'm sure he'd be capable. And no sorry mate none for sale. I'm pushing it getting him to do mine, had him do me a few other jobs aswell and he's sick of the sight of me lol
  15. No probs, the nut on the bolt is loose and I nip it together once screwed right in just to make sure it won't come loose.
  16. You're doing well to see them so regular IMO, good pics considering you've not had the camera long.
  17. Yes I agree they need to be as good physically as we can get them. Where does it originate from? Too tight breeding somewhere or maybe one 'fluke' dog/bitch has it unnoticed and it gets bred from?
  18. Interesting that DD I've never heard of it, I'll havto have a read up on it. Would you class it as a fault/weakness? As I suppose if it can be sorted by a vet, it's not as bad as say having fits or a bad mouth, then it's fixable and not such a problem if you know what I mean.
  19. Here you go this is my set up-
  20. Had it happen twice to me and it isn't nice, the simple fact is there was a lack of air for both and that's part and parcel of the game we're in unfortunately. Chin up and carry on.
  21. I use the cheaper cameras now also, lost count of the amount of expensive cameras I've broke when they've got muck and grit inside them, it's a nightmare. Good pics BT.
