  1. Go to anglebooks.com I'm sure they have it on there.
  2. Sorry totally forgot about this! I'll do it tomorrow after work...
  3. Good story that, I think a lot of big earths that are avoided are deep in the tubes but in the stop ends they're usually a lot shallower, what the reason for that is I don't know. Also maybe a dog that wasn't very good was used and maybe didn't push the game to the stop end and that created the legend when it was baying at the fox but 8 foot away from it.
  4. Looks a nice dog, has he produced anything for you to carry his blood forward?
  5. Looks a decent one, I'll take a pic of mine tomorrow for people that want ideas on how to make them.
  6. Foxbolter it's County Durham mate, and Dave you're right...
  7. I agree he has been around forever... . He'll love that! And this is a local one to me, only the lads in the town will know it, I'll fish about and try find out more, and I'll go one better and take a photo of the earth and see what everyone thinks.
  8. I thought the same fox bolter, anything could have happened. I just thought it would liven the place up if I started a thread on it. And Dillydog you're spot on mate, most of the old boys were full of it and only branded a place 'undiggable' because they were scared to drop a dog in. There's 2 such places over the back of me and I've dug one of them at 4 foot in sand and the other I've dug at 0.6 and 0.8 a piece of piss.
  9. I'll help out anyone if I can, but like has been said if I get shit on that's it, no second chances.
  10. You boys that are after one should get a shovel and go to a local fabricator/welder and tell them what you want and they'll do it piece of piss. I've had one 4 years now and it's outlasted any other's that my mates have had. And Goat the two piecers are for us lads that are upto no good and havto sneak about, you don't need to do that with the land you have!
  11. To the untrained eye its an oak tree, to a tree surgeon it looks like a beech tree.lmao
  12. There's an earth where we go that is on a ditch, nothing major, my grandad used to dig it in the 60's. So it must have been there 50+ years. Like you said marshman it would be nice to know the age of some of the bigger ones.
  13. Before I read that I would have, not sure now though.lol
  14. Yes it's an interesting bit of history, I've asked about a few of the old boys around here and they reckon it was an old type smooth red Parksy dog, whether it's true or not I don't know. And like has been said it was probably pre-locator, could probably go where you don't expect it and be diggable, who knows.
  15. Found this scratched onto a tree on an earth that looks a rough one, only one hole but goes into a sort of rock face under a load of old oak trees. I've only ever been to it twice and (maybe luckily for the dog) it was empty both times. If you can't read it, it says-' Dog killed, 1981, Viper, Do not enter dog'.
  16. Good video Mik, nice to hear the dog is doing well for you. For some reason I thought you had got a bitch from that litter. My digging partner has the litter sister and she's a fair bitch.
  17. The d-grip is definitely the best for a good grip, the t-handle's are difficult to get a good hold on.
  18. I sent them a faulty collar that I'd bought from a mate a year or two previously and they sent me a brand new one, like has been said, top drawer for aftercare service...
  19. I've seen nothing to equal them. I've seen/dug to 3 that were sons and daughters of DD's 'Jim' and the prey drive and sticking ability is first rate. And Lew I think if it wasn't for the 'bollocks, politics and arse licking' as you put it, then I don't think the line would be what it is. It's only what it is because the lads that have had that blood have worked it hard, kept it tight and not just dished it out willy nilly. And not fell into the money trap like all the 'well known' old boys.
