  1. Don't worry mate.......plenty more fish in the sea ! ? Cheers.
  2. I allways thought the escape routes were called meuse's. Cheers.
  3. The names are confusing; I think they are more "dog" than "wolf, but "Cape Hunting Dog" gives the impression they are a breed of domesticated hunting dog, and "African Wild Dog" is a bit all encompassing as there is also the pariah dogs and feral dogs. I was told that some are trying to get "Painted Wolf" as the official name, as it sounds more "exotic" and acceptable, than the other names, but who knows ? Cheers.
  4. Like Epstein; I can just imagine the scenario; "I want to plea bargain, I've got videos, photo's, audio recordings to compromise Clinton, Gates, Prince Andrew, and more ! " Signed his own death warrant....... Cheers.
  5. Sorry, I thought the topic veered onto pig dogs with Toolbox's post. I know he's from "down under", New Zealand , that's why I mentioned Mastiff/Danes. Cheers.
  6. Bull mastiff/ Dane is a fairly popular cross for pig hunting down under. Cheers.
  7. Bray It with a big stick whenever it whinges ! Just joking, mate. Keep them tired out and well fed seems to do the trick ? Cheers.
  8. We used to fly loads of animals from Southern Africa to the Middle East for zoos and private collectors, and this included African wild dogs, which some are trying to rename as "painted wolves". I enjoyed talking to the handlers/keepers, and they told me African wild dogs are impossible to tame or domesticate, even if they were hand reared from birth. Theyve been around for millennia, so seems strange they've never been domesticated, whilst other canines have. Cheers.
  9. I'm great, Joe, doubled the size of the allotment, still got hens and ducks, plenty to do. Pup is keeping me busy, might get a run with her round about February. Cheers.
  10. You named one of your dogs Richie ! ? ! I had that name first ! LOL ! You know my dogs are named after the NATO alphabet; Tango, Kilo, Delta, Lima, Echo.......I was running out of options ! Hows things mate, long time no see ! Cheers.
  11. I don't know mate, they've just said the sale of new petrol and diesel cars will be banned. To be honest, I think they will give an extension. Cheers.
  12. Where are the people who live in high rise flats going to charge their cars ? What happens when everyone gets home from work and plugs their car in around the same time, will the grid be able to handle it ? If they really do ban the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles in less than 9 years time, the price of second hand cars is going to go through the roof ! Badly thought out by the government. Cheers.
  13. Can I just ask the lads that believe all this, what are they doing on line, on an open forum ? Surely they should be off grid ? Im not saying they are entirely wrong, but aren't they playing into the hands of the people they are warning us about ? We all know there's no such thing as a "secure forum" , so why are you guys inviting "them" to read and know everything about you ? Cheers.
  14. Dogs & Natives !!!! That was the name of the guy with the catahoulla cross ! See.......Alzheimer's hasn't taken over completely.........yet ! Cheers.
  15. To be fair, Doxhope bitches were supposedly small for Deerhounds , but my old bitch which is half Doxhope made 29" !!! This pup has a lot of Doxhope in her deerhound side, and her dam isn't big for an Irish coursing bred bitch, but those Irish dogs have been getting bigger and bigger over the years, so, I guess, if she doesn't go ove 30", it'll do for what I want ! ?? Cheers.
  16. No idea mate, only seen one fell hound cross, almost fifty years ago. A mate of mine got it as an adult dog. Had it out many times on a long lead, it would find hares no problem......first time he slipped it , it disappeared into the distance , howling like a hound and was never seen again ! Cheers.
  17. There was a lad on here, I can't remember his user name, but LDR and myself had a couple of run outs on his permission with him. A top class lad, and I seem to remember he was running a catahoulla x on the Northumberland fells, be interesting to see how it turned out. Cheers.
  18. Allways fancied a catahoulla if I had unlimited kennel space and time. Some nice ones down Oz. Cheers.
  19. I once put up a post "Are Pures Really Pure" ? Relating to Deerhounds and Greyhounds. Deerhounds of course had an influx of greyhound blood, sanctioned by the kennel club, ostensibly to prevent them becoming to "cloddy" and becoming undishinguisable from Irish Wolfhounds. But long before, when the invention of the sporting gun meant their job of coursing and catching deer became obsolete, there was in addition of "nose" from various other breeds, to enable them to track wounded quarry. The Greyhound, as we know had bull blood added in the 1800's by Lord Orford to his coursing dogs, s
  20. A pun, a double entendre' even !!!! I knew there was humour in you, deep down, mate ! ? ? ! Cheers.
  21. Not one person I've talked to today agrees with sharing the gold medal for the high jump. They can't call themselves "Olympic Champion" as neither actually won ! Best they should have had was a silver medal each, but that would still have been a cop out. There should have been a "jump off" to decide the winner. Cheers.
  22. I'm sure it does, but I heard it falls, mainly, on the plain. ? Cheers.
  23. I was told long ago that smart phones, smart tv's, Echo's, Alexa's, etc are "listening" to us. Years ago, my late son was a diplomat working in the British Consulate in Saudi and he told me "dad, be careful what words you use when we are on the phone, even a land line, as certain "key words" are flagged up and the government computers are watching for them, and you could get a visit". From the Saudi government, I asked ? Yes, he said, but also from the British government ! So "they" have been listening to us for a long time.......... Cheers.
