    Wow, I don't know where this animosity has came from, Don, I don't sulk, and haven't trashed anyone, she told me herself it was an accidental mating and the pups were no great shakes. As far as anyone answering me, since I've come back on here I've been nothing but polite and non confrontational. And in that view, I'll not get into a pointless argument with you. Cheers.

    I never said they were "shite", I spoke to her and she said it was an accidental mating, and subsequently said the pups didn't make any thing special. Im not waiting on a pup from a "puppy peddler", I've been gifted a pup from a freind who has given pups for free to working dog lads, far more than he has sold, and I resent your attack on me for simply stating what I understand to be true from what the woman has said herself.     Yeah, I picked them up at the central station, two of them stayed at Colin's house and one stayed at mine. After the heats I collected them all and took them back to the station. Cheers.

    No mate, there was only two, but people who didn't have the bottle or confidence in their dogs to enter, slagged the events off so much we didn't bother again. There was some great nights and some long lasting friendships made, but in the end it just wasn't worth the hassle. Cheers.

    There's two schools of thought; 1; The modern whippet had infusions of Bedlington blood. 2; The modern Bedlington had infusions of Whippet blood. Neither theory has been proven conclusively, but it seems obvious that looking at the difference between Bedlingtons from the past and modern Bedlingtons, that theory 2 seems the most likely. If Bedlingtons Terrier had been instrumental in forming the Whippet, you can be sure they looked nothing like the modern Bedlingtons, and were more probably like the extinct White Terrier. Once again, only MY opinion on the subject ?

    A friend of mine once mated a Beddy/Whippet with a top class working Patterdale to get some bushing pups. They were bonny looking little dogs, but I couldnt see the point. They were almost certain to drop in, so why not just get a Terrier ? Being only a 1/4 whippet, they probably wouldn't have the speed to catch in the open, so why not just stick with the Beddy/whippets or whippets ? Maybe they suited him, and it's only MY opinion, he was happy, so I guess they did what HE wanted them to do ? Cheers.
