  1. He's evidently been outspoken about the compensation scheme and is a supporter of the campaign. Cheers.
  2. Being great at your sport or profession isn't synonymous with being one of the good guys. You can still be a c**t . Cheers.
  3. Lewis Hamilton was interviewed on tv today ahead of the Saudi Gran Prix. He slagged the Saudi regime for their treatment of homosexual's, but he's still taking part. He will wear a rainbow coloured helmet to show his support of gays ! That'll teach the Saudis , eh ? Now it's being reported that his team are being sponsored by Kingspan, the company responsible for the flammable cladding on Grenfell Tower. He will wear coveralls and race in a car emblazoned with their name......... Hipocritical little shitweasle. Cheers.
  4. When is this run ? Should have started a sweep ! ? ! Cheers.
  5. Going purely on looks, which means nothing, I have to go with my mate "the Saluki master", and go for Paloma !??! Cheers.
  6. Result ! Get it on Dragon Driving, " For sale, no fault of its own" ! Just joking, mate. What utter scum......... Cheers.
  7. There's people who slag off the lurcher book writer, but not me ! I think it's a skill, an art, and if they use a little bit of "poetic license", so what, It's not supposed to be a reference book ! Darcy's good at it, but then I'm a bit biased, a couple of my dogs got a mention in one of his books ! ? ! Cheers.
  8. I may be wrong, but I understood leaving land fallow meant missing at least one crop growing season, a year at least, not just over winter. Around here fields are seeded with winter wheat or spring wheat. When it's spring wheat, the land will be bare over winter, but not exactly fallow. As I say, I may be wrong, I'm just a retired engineer with a couple of Allotments, not a farmer ! ??! Ive seen a few fields north of me that had clover cover crop, and the good news is the hares love it ! Cheers.
  9. Isn't this a bit like leaving the land fallow, but speeds up the process ? On a micro scale, I leave one raised bed in each of my Allotments fallow for a season and then rotorvate the growth in. It provides a bit of a small scale habitat for wildlife also. I never use chemical fertiliser, I make my own compost and use horse manure, leaf mould etc. Can certainly see and taste the difference to shop bought veg. I understand it's a different ball game with large scale farming. Cheers.
  10. I know, I used to run hares around there, Sunderland airport, where Nissan is now, Penshaw. I was over that way a while back, Shiney Row, the areas changed a lot since I lived in Washington, 40 odd years ago. Cheers.
  11. I don't know if it's the way you phrase it, or the way I read it, but you allways seem to equate lads on here who actually work their dogs, with the arseholes who you despise so much. Well, we are not, and I resent the implication. Theres an old saying, "running with the fox, and hunting with the hounds", which is what you appear to be doing by the tone of some of your posts. Theres allways been shithouses in the game, but the internet has highlighted them.........we are not all in thrall to these people, they're NOT our heros. ? Cheers.
  12. You get a good day out with Davey ? Never fails to put game in front of the dogs. Cheers.
  13. It's no big deal. The British high commissioner has simply changed her title to president. The queens picture will still be on their money. All treaties and pacts will remain the same. They will remain members of the commonwealth. No doubt we will still support them financially and militarily. Just the Queen is no longer head of state. Cheers.
  14. Yes. Prince Charles touches down in Barbados to remove his mother Queen Elizabeth as head of state | Daily Mail Online WWW.DAILYMAIL.CO.UK Prince Charles on Sunday evening touched down in Barbados ahead of a ceremony that will see his mother, the Queen, removed as head of state and Dame... Cheers.
  15. The Spartans were said to enjoy a bit of homo eroticism, but those Greeks have allways been a bit dodgy ! ? Cheers.
  16. £5 a kilo is very expensive. Most charge between sixty and eighty pence per pound, around £1.50 per kilo. A lot of BARF, or raw, can be sourced from butchers for free or very cheaply. But if your happy with your feeding regime, that's fine ? Cheers.
  17. Daily basis. If I haven't got the ribs I just buy a kilo of raw chicken wings from Aldi or asda , £1.50. Also been getting sheep and deer feet, keeps them occupied when lying in the kennel. Cheers.
  18. I'd say nearer a kilo for the main meal, and bits and pieces throughout the day. She's 26" and around 60 lb, at 6 1/2 month, so I feed her as much as she wants and just let her be a pup. The serious work will start when she's around 8/9 months. Cheers.
  19. That's about the same price I pay for raw. I mix two raw minced chicken with one raw minced green tripe as the main meal. A drop of veg oil and a spoonful of "bone builder". They also get lamb ribs, chicken carcasses, beef trimmings, etc that I get for free from a butcher. Also get herring, mackerel, trout when available. When we cook veg for ourselves we do more than needed and the dogs get the rest. All my dogs have been fed this way, and my deer/grey pup is thriving on this diet. Everyone has their own ideas on feeding, and all dogs are different, so what suits
  20. They aren't day time hare dogs. They will kill, but there's better alternatives. Ive allways been very skeptical of times and slip distances. A 4 minutes course is usually more like 1 1/2 minutes, and a 200 yard slip is usually more like 50 yards. I'm a great believer in the old saying; "don't believe anything you hear, and only half you see", especially where dogs are concerned. Maybe I'm more cynical than senile ? Cheers.
  21. I started with lurchers on day time hare, and it's still my favourite field sport, but by no means my only one. These days, if I ONLY done day time hares, I'd want an up and at 'em, wiz banger type, maybe a little bit of Saluki, but mainly non-ped Whippet and greyhound, possibly some other type in the breeding. I want to be on and off the field sharpish and move on, I don't want a dog being towed around the field for 4/5/6 minutes. Now, mC, please don't give me a lecture on the superiority of heavily influenced Saluki types, I've been there ? ?, and I'm certainly not knocking th
  22. The decline and fall of western civilisation is rapidly accelerating......... Cheers.
  23. They can be deported if they have dual nationality and have kept their paki passports, but they won't be, the left wing lawyers will see to that. Cheers.
