  1. I know absolutely nothing about autism, but reading some of the comments from people who do, I wonder how Packham takes direction, learns scripts, interacts with other actors, presenters, etc ? All of which seems alien, ( for want of a better word), to people with autism. Cheers.
  2. Good luck trying to convert our wilfy !!!! He thinks the KKK are a bunch of liberal, left wing pussy's ! ? ! Just poking a gentle bit of fun, mate ? Cheers.
  3. My daughter rescued a kestrel years ago. We fed it on minced chicken, beef, etc until it was ready to tackle whole quail. It became very tame and took to the hood and glove easily. I had a big aviary built for it and we had it a lot of years, till it died, probably of old age. Cheers.
  4. I don't agree with the huge amounts of tax on fuel, gas, electric, alcohol, tobacco, etc, as they hit the lower paid to a higher degree than the well off. The rich get "green subsidies" making them even richer, the huge multi national companies pay a miniscule amount of tax compared to their earnings, so, while I accept there has to be tax, it's applied very unfairly. As far as getting rid of red diesel, from a purely tax collecting point, it's a good move.Theoretically, the users can claim the tax back that they will have to pay on white diesel, but those who are using it illegally w
  5. Not one person has justified "roughing up pensioners". They were dragged from the road and promptly went back, time after time. If they thought they were being "roughed up" they would be screaming "human rights abuse" every time a policeman dragged them from the road. No, these fuckers, who openly brag they would allow someone to die rather than let an ambulance through, are the wrong 'uns here ! Not one of those protesters, old or young, suffered any harm.......unlike the woman in hospital following the pile up, or the old woman having a stroke because the protesters would
  6. I didn't see anyone being overly rough with the protesters, in fact I think they acted with considerable restraint in the circumstances. An hysterical woman begging them to let her get her sick mum to hospital; paramedics pleading with them to allow an ambulance to attend an emergency could have illicited a far stronger response ! Whats going to happen when a coach load of drunk football lads who have just seen their team get hammered and are held up for hours on a long journey home decide to take matters in their own hands ? I'll tell you what will happen, THEY will be arreste
  7. Here's Frenchy's web site; Paul Fenech Handmade Custom Knives WWW.CUSTOMKNIVESANDSTICKS.CO.UK Handmade Custom knives by Paul Fenech aka Frenchy He customised this opinel for me some years ago ; Cheers.
  8. It's not their cause I disagree with, in fact I agree with it ! I don't want people in this country living in cold, draughty, damp houses, having to choose between heating or eating ! Its their method of protest I disagree with, it's turning people against them, and the government will go with the people. If they were gluing themselves to ministers cars of chaining themselves to Downing Street railings, I'd applaud them ! There are government schemes to insulate houses, to replace old boilers, fit thermostatic valves etc. Why don't these people open offices to give ad
  9. There's a fair cross section of them mate, professionals, middle class, students, people with degrees and the usual anarchists. Simply giving them a criminal record would hinder their job prospects, credit scores and make a lot of them think twice, but sadly the government, police and judiciary seem extremely reluctant to take action against them. Cheers.
  10. The London Ambulance Service has asked these people, publicly and officially, to stop delaying the emergency services, as someone is going to die. Insulate Britain has replied saying they are profoundly sorry for the inconvenience caused but they believe in the bigger picture, and will continue with the road blockages. so, basically, they are saying insulating your loft is more important than the fire and ambulance services getting to an emergency, more important than you wife, child, mother dying in the back of an ambulance that can't get through to a hospital. Well, I profound
  11. From my perspective, Patel isn't doing anything about people sitting in the road putting lives at risk, OR controlling immigration. Ive literally just watched her conference speach......heavy on rhetoric, but will, undoubtedly, be light on action, as usual. Cheers.
  12. A lot of these people are middle class professionals, doctors, teachers, etc. They can't be short of a few quid, so I've got a proposal for them; instead of pissing people off and putting lives at risk, why don't the rent a van, go to B & Q, buy a load of loft insulation and go around the houses of people who can't insulate their homes and do it for them ? Inform the media what you're doing , where and when. Get some positive publicity, shame the government into action......it worked for Rashford and the school meals. Cheers.
  13. Just seen the interview with Roger Hallam, the founder and leader of these arseholes. He was asked if they would keep on blocking ambulances...he said yes, they would. The interviewer then asked " even if it meant people dying ?"....again, he said yes they would. Its in tomorrow's papers. Why isn't the government acting ? Some of these people have been arrested up to EIGHT times but not charged once ! If someone does die because of their actions, I'd want them charged with at least manslaughter, but of course that won't happen. Cheers.
  14. Did you read the article, Wilf ? Ive took screen shots, just in case you missed it; Perhaps you'd like to reconsider your "total bollocks" comment ? Cheers.
  15. A paramedic was begging the fuckers to let the ambulance through....... Cheers.
  16. "Those self righteous, ignorant, cowardly b*****ds were preventing an ambulance from taking a dying patient to hospital, so I did my civic and moral duty and helped clear a path" Amazing how different people see the same situation. Cheers.
  17. I agree. I'm 69 and if I was being a shithouse, I'd expect a reaction. Just because you are getting on a bit doesn't give you carte Blanche to act the c**t. They are the instigators here, not the people reacting to them. Dragging them off the motorway isn't the same as giving them a slap, which I would completely disagree with. Cheers.
  18. I'll say it again; they should glue themselves to government ministers cars or chain themselves to Downing Street railings, hit the people who they blame, not innocent people going about their business. You support them....I don't. I wouldn't be dragging them out of the way if they were stopping me from taking a family member to a cancer appointment, I'd be driving over them. Cheers.
  19. Tell that to the woman who was crying and begging the protesters to let her through with her old mum to get to her cancer appointment.......... Cheers.
  20. Another one from the Mets diplomatic squad in court today charged with rape....... I bet a lot of phones are being cleared and hard drives being destroyed and a lot of arses twitching in the police today. Cheers.
  21. I was in Riyadh in 1978 and I was shown a cordoned off part of a car park. I was told the last stoning took place there many years before, it was done in a rather macabre but novel way; A hole was dug with a JCB, the woman was placed in the hole, a priest read some Koran verses and threw a symbolic stone at the poor woman, then a tipper backed up, tipped a load of hardcore on her, and then it was tarmaced over ! As far as I'm aware, that was the last stoning in Saudi, but I'm sure it's happened a lot more recently in places like Iran and Pakistan. Not the sort of punishment
  22. Can anyone tell me when the last time a woman was stoned to death in Saudi Arabia ? Cheers.
  23. No, my daughter-in-law is the widow of my late son, sorry for the confusion. She has a degree from an American university and heads up the finance division of an international Law company, I lived in Saudi for 26 years and have a certain affinity for it and it's people, whilst also realising not everything about the governance of the country is perfect, by any means. But getting back on the threads track, be sure that if Couzens had been convicted of the same crime in Saudi, his head would be lying, separated from his body, in a public car park today. Cheers.
  24. My daughter in law is Saudi, she can drive if she wants to, she travels the world for work, she visits us in the UK, she doesn't need permission from anyone. I can only speak from my own experiences, I'm not a spokesman for the saudi government, and my comment was only referring to crime and punishment. Cheers.
  25. Not all of us..... I admire the Saudi system of justice. If you are a rapist, peadophile, drug dealer, murderer, you know you will get your head chopped off if you're caught. If you're caught theiving three times, you get your hand cut off. When you go to jail, you get basic bread and water, your family and friends have to bring you any extra food. I believe in retribution, not rehabilitation...... Cheers.
