    It's going to get worse. A petition to stop fox hunts , ( drag hunting, not REAL foxes), from operating near built up areas, had reached over 100,000, so now has to be, by law, debated in parliament. Another nail in the coffin........... Cheers.

    I don't think the ban will affect me, I've only ever brought a couple of shark jaws from the Red Sea and a couple of Wild Boar jaws from New Zealand. I cant envisage me ever wanting to import lion, polar bear, hippo or anything like that, but there's supposed to be 6,000 animals on the list, a lot of them not endangered, including reindeer. When my missus was north of the Arctic circle last year I wanted her to bring a reindeer pelt back, but she didn't. I was hoping to get a couple in the future for the man cave, but looks like the ban may affect me after all ! Cheers.

    The non-ped racing people breed their dogs to race, they have been breeding the best to the best for generations to get the fastest dog over a relatively short distance. They get great pride in seeing their progeny win big Open races and Racing Champion status.     We had outside toilets back in the 50's, two toilets in the back yard shared between six families in the tenement. With the slum clearances we were moved out to the new estates in the suburbs......inside toilets, central heating, electricity, hot AND cold water, it was like winning the pools !     Now, it's not my intention to slag off any type or breed, but I've never understood why anyone would use a HPR type in creating a lurcher. These are types that have been bred for generations NOT to run in on game. Yes, I've seen some nice looking GWP x lurchers, and heard of some lab x's, but what do they add to a lurcher line that other breeds don't ? I may be wrong, of course, and I'm sure people own this type and are very happy with them, it's just my personal opinion ? Cheers.

    If you mean brown hares, well, I've hunted both sides of the border for many years and find no difference in them. If you mean white mountain hares compared to brown hares, that's a completely different game. Cheers.
