  1. Did you have a 9422 a while back SD? I’ve always fancied one myself.
  2. Atrocious neglect by the council, can’t even see the pavement, let alone walk on it. No wonder there’s jaywalkers on the road?
  3. Good shooting bunny, #5’s hit ‘em harder for sure.
  4. I’ve just seen these on fleabay, has anybody tried them, if so, are they any good?
  5. Man, that’s a good looking knife. Beautiful finish with the pitting on the blade.
  6. That’s interesting, aren’t the magazine’s of both the anschutz 64 and Winchester 69a almost an identical design?
  7. Lighter pellets can give higher energy in a spring gun, but pcp’s prefer heavy. My hw99 has a higher output with rws hobby .22, but I would expect a low output with these in a pcp.
  8. Fourlongs are quiet, but very slow. I actually chrono’d them at 750 fps. Ok at short range but at twenty yards plus, they struggle on squirrels, tough as nails them little buggers?
  9. Yep, eley 2 inch are crap. I can’t understand why they only load them in #6 shot. 9 grams of #6 = terry bull pattern.
  10. Good result SD. Shows that you don’t need high end stuff to enjoy some sport.?
  11. Looks impressive, but I bet it loses its integrity during rapid fire recoil ?
  12. Couldn’t agree more Phil. Believe it or not, I also use cb caps, 16 grain bullets @ 28 ft lbs. Only accurate at ten to fifteen yards, and can only be loaded singularly, but can be useful at times if an air rifle isn’t to hand.
  13. I once lifted a Toyota Corolla from a gateway with a forklift truck and relocated it on a patch of wasteland. Other than that I’d go with what they said??
  14. Have you tried any Phill? I wouldn’t mind giving them a go, but I’ve got plenty to work through atm?
  15. I’ve used a few, and different brands have given me differing results. I bought these s&b’s a good while ago for two reasons. One because I intended to use them to shoot rats on an infested embankment, and two, because they were dirt cheap. As you say, their accuracy can leave something to be desired at any distance, I found rws shorts probably the most accurate I’ve used. I shot these squirrels in a long goyle which is flanked by trees on either side. The range across the goyle is around fifteen to twenty yards maximum. At this range the shorts are accurate and the little 28 grain bullets
  16. Yep, really gusty today. Good result bn?
  17. I’ve read that they’re only doing renewals at the moment and requests for variations are being sent back. As you say Gav, a friend of mine sold his .22 to buy another, he phoned firearms and they told him to get the rfd to write on his ticket that it had been swapped for another of the same calibre. That was a few years ago mind.
  18. Well, now we’ve got the green light for shooting I thought I’d have a bash at the squirrels that I’ve been seeing around lately. Mostly young skinny ones at the moment but quite a few about.
  19. Those new impacts can put some power out, and with the versatility of adjustment we couldn’t have imagined a few years ago. I’m looking forward to getting one as soon as the shops open properly. I was talking to an old shooting buddy yesterday ( at two metres distance of course) regarding these fx’s. He kept referring to the rapids, but I told him that they’d moved on so much since then. I still don’t think he’d grasped it though. He’s just bought a falcon after selling his rapid a while back. Nothing wrong with either, but both “olde skool” now of course.
  20. Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing Rez.?
  21. That’s a nice example eastcoast, looks like a lovely bit of nostalgia. I still have my mk1 Vulcan .177 that I had in 1979 when they first came out. It’s as snappy as hell to shoot, but still nudging 12 ft lbs. Always a blast from the past when I get it out.?
