I've only got a terrier so just mess around hedgerows/woods etc. He doesn't listen at the best of times lol so I just avoid sheep altogether, although he hasn't looked at them when I've had him on a long line in the field. I've noticed even the sight of a dog on a lead in the field can get them moving and it's somebody's business at the end of the day.
