Lol, your probably right. Had a go a couple of places, blanked but saw a few bunnies. Rivers are busting, not sure the fishing going to be all that

This all bodes well for me - as I type im on the ferry to Ireland for a mooching and fishing holiday! Still, nothing ventured nothing gained! I will be in touch in a couple days jigsaw, we can maybe try somewhere new? I'll see what the ground is like that I've been offered and we'll make a plan

He's all grown up! Looks a different dog from the big goofy pup I saw when you first bought him over lol. Have you been up to much? PM if you prefer.

That all depends how you do it. There are ways and means.

I do lots of stuff like that, shepherds huts, glamping accommodation, barn conversions etc. I've just finished a tiny house based on a 24' x 8' flatbed trailer which i'm living in now and loving it. You are on the right track with getting planning for a storage building, building a shell to regs and getting it signed off then doing a conversion a few months later once everyone has forgotten about it. Just be sure to get the insulation and ventilation right, it'll save a lot of aggro in the future. ATB

I use garmin GPS c olar and want someone to make me a replacement collar to carry the tracker. I would like it in lightweight black nylon webbing with a way for the ariel to curl round next to the collar so its less obvious. I'm fed up with the lumo collars with the ariel sticking up in the air like a dodgem car! I have attached a picture. Can anyone help me out?

The quality is the same as a mill if you do it right its just the time it takes that's a pain -

Its hard work, and slow compared to a wood mizer, but you can turn out decent planks if you are careful. We ran a few planks out with some nice burl in recently, was planning to make tables over the winter but people bought them all so none left now! If you have plenty to go at see what it costs to hire a wood mizer (bandsaw mill) in for the day we pay about 400 a day, machine and operator, with minimum 2 day hire. You'll need someone handy with a digger too to feed it but you won't believe how much timber it'll turn out in 2 days! -
Has anyone tried this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-Rechargeable-Foxing-Lamp-Lamping-Handheld-Light-Red-Filter-New-RRP-89-/121215011989?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c38fa4c95 Usually the problem with the LED lights is too tight a beam but I've not seen one with multiple LEDs before, maybe its better?

Are these any good? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLULITE-PLR-400-PISTOL-LIGHT-1000-LUMENS-TORCH-CLUSON-PLR-400-PL-400-CH-/171475379218?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27ecbaa412 I know they wont be as good as a striker but fancy something to keep in the truck. I have tried the clubriter and the Deben one but the beam is too tight for me. If not this then what do you recommend? Cheers

Great write up and lovely country!

So if it was wondering around your street and garden and took a liking to your pets and children that would be ok would it? Don't be daft. If they were wandering about the suburbs menacing kids we'd have seen one shot by now. If I come across one in an out of the way place and no one is making a fuss over it then I'd leave it be. The last thing I would do is mention it on here!

I wouldn't shoot one, not unless it was causing serious problems to livestock. Even then I would hesitate, I would rather see it living wild than as a rug.

For Sale .22 Lr Rimfire Sapel Fully Moderated Barrell (Fac Only) £120
Tyla replied to Tyla's topic in Gun's and Rifle's
It is a Sapel, a French make, I have researched on the web and found almost no info so I do not know the model. It was sold to me a few years ago by a professional stalker on one of the local estates who was moving to Australia, he used it for rabbit control on the estate but also had no knowledge of its history. The moderator is fixed but I can measure the barrel tomorrow. The scope is illuminated reticule, possibly 3-12x50 Doktor Optics but, again, I will have to check tomorrow. -
No, got nothing as yet

This rifle has seen a lot of work with its previous owner and to a lesser extent with me, the stock is painted black with a few signs of wear. It is very quiet with the full length moderator and handles well, nice and short to use from a vehicle. I was planning to keep it and fit it out as a dedicated night vision rifle but to be honest I don't have enough rabbits to warrant it any more, I'd rather save them for the dog than shoot them. £120 collected from West Sussex

I have attached a sling to my Hatsan with strong cable ties, one round the barrel through under the rib and one round the pistol grip. Been using it like that for over a year and it has worked perfectly. Not quite as pretty as proper swivels but works just as well!

Got an Octavia estate for long distance or lamping and use a pickup for everything else. Had a Mazda but picking up a hilux tomorrow fingers crossed.
-
I want to fit racks of some sort to a y reg hilux but not the ones that clamp abouve the doors and ruin the paint. I quite like the idea of fitting them to the snugtop. Anyone had an experience with this?

would a whip x grew not suit him. Yes but finding the right bitch who works to a good standard AND whose owner wants to breed her with a whirrier sire is not easy. I don't know any myself and asked about it a few times on here without much response
-
Apparently not, dogger off here bred him - russell sire over non ped whippet. Who knows what is in a russell though, could easily have a splash of bull in somewhere. Dosen't matter to me, he's nearly 8 now and proved him self to me time and again. I'd like to breed from him if I could find the right bitch but that's easier said than done.
