    Under 15Tts ?

It always amazes me how these legends are out for hours every single day, I'm pretty dedicated to my dogs but still have to work and I don't even have kids to contend with yet. I walk mine everyday and they hunt but is that what is meant? Getting out properly usually means a full day and some travelling for me and that can't happen every day can it?
  2. I walk mine with lurchers at night in GPS collars and have had some interesting times. Not sure I'd fancy it without the collars though
  3. He was bred in Scotland so I didn't see the rest of the litter as pups but I kept up with a few on here. The whole litter was pretty level in size and stamp and by all accounts did well enough. I had lost touch with them all by their second season so don't know any more than that. As for the breeding, who knows? The Russell could've had a bit of bull in somewhere and the whippet a bit of grey but as far as I'm aware he is first x.
  4. He's nearly seven and yes, first x bred by dogger on here. Sire was a small russell dog put over a non ped whippet bitch I believe.
  5. He's about 21 - 22 tts, more than capable of catching in the open day or night. He will bush but usually lets the terrier do that for him. He is a whiner round the yard and in the car which drives me nuts but he's silent when working which is the main thing. He is coming up 7 years old and hasn't let me down yet. When we got him we were told he'd be too slow for rabbits and too small for anything else which he has proved wrong ever since! He's probably the best dog I've had - if I could clone him I would!
  6. His is my whippet x russell, a very useful dog
  7. There used to be a guy on here that ran dogs over there. Boer greyhounds?

    Temptation

If you are after a bus her there is one for sale in the classifieds that sounds like it would tick most boxes
  9. Lovely bitch Larry, anymore pics? I just bought a springers pat pup off Nobjerk on here. How do you find the cross?
  10. I've been asked to keep an eye out for the above, ideally in SE but he would travel for the right dog. Thanks
  11. It wasn't at all the evening we'd planned. Such a shame
  12. I'm only an hour away from Crowborough, if you fancy some hunting while visiting there feel free to message me on here
  13. Good to see you're keeping at it. Any sign of the goats yet?

    New Spaniel

I've just bought a pup out of this dog from nobjerk. I spent a day out with him and both the parents. As deerdogs said, a genuine guy with handy dogs. Can't wait to get mine started!

    Busher !

Looking forward to seeing her on weds
  17. The only way to stop ears bleeding is to immobilise them. Once its scabbed over then cut the toe off a sock and put that over his head. That way the ear can't move to knock the scab and he can't shake to set it off either. They can work with it on too, i've lamped dogs like it with no problem although i do think it impairs there hearing.

    Busher !

If you come across a decent litter i'd be interested to hear aboit it Gaz, cheers
  19. Well, i dont think its lack of drive. Lurcher bitch caught a fox yesterday and Ollie was so desperate to get to them that he smashed his way through an acre of gorse and bramble and after she lost hold of it and it got away up the mountain he hunted it at full pace for a further 10 minutes. The result of that is that he was do stiff this morning that i left him at home and he missed her catching another one today, which didn't escape. Back home next week to embark on a round of vets, bonemen and physios to try and put him right. Still think a pup is on the cards though.
  20. I'm trying to sort it out. Accomodation for man and dog can be arranged but permission is complicated, im with friends here and they seem to be given free reign by the local farmers but that wouldn't extend to friends of friends if you know what i mean? I'm on the case though.
  21. Shame im out the country, i'd of come. Im looking forward to stopping in on the way home. I had a good hunt over here this morning, hunted a fox in the cover with the little dogs and flushed it, was great to see my bitch full pelt nose to the ground follow the line across the field and then course and catch it on top of a wall in the next one. She spoilt it a bit by losing it into the gorse after getting bitten though. They hunted in for another 10 minutes before losing it altogether up the mountain. The hunt was brilliant and although i'd rather have killed it i wasnt too disappointed. She's
