  1. I keep it turned on all the time.
  2. Hello Nick, i've just come back from a trip to NZ where I was looked after really well by you kiwis. I'd be happy to offer you some hunting when you get over here. Drop me a message and we can make a plan
  3. Wild bird seed. Grows like crazy when I gets out the feeder and contains all seed you could want
  4. Cool, just let me know when suits you. Cheers
  5. Sweet, let's call that a plan then? If you guys decide what you'd like to do and when we'll get it sorted before the end of the season. Am I right in thinking I'd be better waiting til it warms up a bit and isn't so dark to come down to you?
  6. Thanks for the advice lads. Fancy swapping a day out later in the year? I can offer deer stalking, bushing, ferreting, lamping etc in Sussex for a bit of fishing? Am I right in thinking you are down Devon way?
  7. Thanks Kev, so am I right in thinking long and narrow is what I'm after for the sea? My inflatable is great for what I use it for but I know it well enough to know I'd hate it on the sea here! What kind of fishing do you do off yours? The whole sea fishing thing is new to me to be honest
  8. Thanks lads, I'll send some PM's
  9. Sorry to hear you're bad Liam, sure is a shit time to fall sick. Good news about the job though. I hope you had as good a Christmas as you could and please pass on the same to Kevin. ATB, Paul
  10. You dislike kayaks or Kev and Geth?
  11. I'm interested in starting kayak fishing. I use a sevylor inflatable on rivers and have used it on the sea in other countries but I'm not keen on trying in the UK sea as it's very much affected by wind and current. I have seen small sit on top fishing kayaks on ebay for £300 odd, are they any good?
  12. I've been lamping with led the last two seasons and got disheartened, thought my dogs were shit, thought I couldn't see (which is true) and ended up going out less and less. This year I resurrected the old striker and lithium and have been loving it. My dogs still are not brilliant but seem better than they have been. Maybe it's the lamp, maybe it's my crap eyes but I'm going to stick with halogen for serious nights out and just use for the led for walking tye dogs
  13. I had a brilliant time, like Joe says it was a lesson learned. New terrain and new quarry made for hard work for the dogs. I've been to Ireland and new zealand since, I have definitely got the bug for hunting different places
  14. If they aren't legal how come they sell them in decathlon? This is a genuine question, I thought they weren't allowed either til I saw them there
  15. I own the dog Wales123 is talking about. He's half x and coming up 10 year old. I'm on my phone now so no pics but are lots on my old posts from years ago. He's been a bloody good dog, I wish I could clone him.
  16. You will love it Owain. The place is incredible and Kurt has been an great host. It's worth the trip for the scenery and the fishing. The hunting is the icing on the cake!
  17. It is true though, it's wierd hunting without your own dogs.
  18. Merton, you are a miserable old sod. I'd happily pay a days money for a day out doing something I enjoy but as I said that is just me. You only live once and you can't take it with you. Just out of interest are you speaking from experience or just guessing?
  19. Don't know yet. I'm pretty much looking to see what people think it's worth. I know I'd be happy to pay £150 - 200 /day but that's me. Personally I think it's worth every penny of that. What do you think?
  20. I'm in NZ at the moment having a whale of a time, killed some pigs, shot some deer and caught some trout. Pics to follow when I get a better Internet connection. My question is who would like to do the same and what would you pay? My host is interested in putting a trip together and offering the same kind of experience, fishing, hunting, accommodation etc
  21. I have a 10mth old bitch pup bred by Nobjerk off here, dam was pat sire was springer. She's been a pleasure to own since day one and does exactly what I wanted.
  22. Where are you? Find someone local and get out with them, dogs learn best off each other
  23. Alot of money but worth every penny when you need it. All depends how you work your dogs. I never use them lamping but daytime invaluable
